I'm old enough to remember the hard left Labour Government before that in the 1970s and I do remember it being like that. I was a (reluctant) member of the AUEW in the 70's and remember thinking that it was simply a marxist organisation intent on destroying industry and the state. Why would I blame the Tories for Labour's inherent flaws? Do you think it's fair or realistic to judge the current Labour party by the standards of their 1970s iteration? An interesting point Sir TakeTheKnee today declared his party fully committed to the trident nuclear deterrent. Yet his deputy and quite a few front bench have expressed the exact opposite. Should I believe today's rhetoric from today's leader when it so utterly reverses what has gone before in the recent past as well as the distant past ?

Yes I can see why Labour would be attracted to Trudeau - they have the same authoritarian control freak mentality. Freezing the bank accounts of your political opponents is very attractive to many on the left. I doubt very many individuals actually on the left, are in a position to freeze anyone's Bank account.

"Tory-lite" is just another Tory propaganda LIE. Something the Tories are very good at. The Labour Party is attempting to bring the New Labour approach of Inclusion back, which in the Main covers everyone from the moderate side of the hard left to the moderate side of the hard right. And to a greater of lesser degree to everyone else in the country. Using the existing systems "for the many not the few" i.e. the third way, is revolution with fairness instead of violence. The biggest arses in politics outside of the ultra-extremists is made obvious by the lying, insinuating, denigrating excrement that oozes out of the mouths of Tory propagandists. "Everything must change for everything to remain the same." is pure dishonest Tory propaganda. How many more years are they going to be called 'New' Labour, there's fuck all New about them, they are as Old and as rotten from the days of Blair/Brown, maybe they should rebrand again, maybe.... 'No this time honestly we are New Labour' .... I'm pissed off of hearing New Labour, they are Old worn out and ready for the knackers yard. New Labour kept the slimy ever failing Tories out of office for the longest period of time in their history. Its little wonder Tory supporters are shitting themselves at the possibility of the next Labour government taking lessons from New Labour. I'm pissed off at the persistent failures of Tory governments, and the unbelievable naivety of the easily fooled voters who keep reelecting them.

I read this morning that the Tories may end up with just 66 seats, with Labour winning 470 odd, can you imagine just how bad it will be. Everything will be nationalised, the blob will multiply tenfold and what little still functions in the country will simply grind to a halt. The trade unions will demand and receive double digit pay rises, the right to never be sacked and to work from home, inflation, unemployment will soar and immigration will be stepped up. Anybody who can't se this is oblivious to history and has led such a sheltered life that the obvious eludes them, it will just about finish off the UK, any progress that has been made to extend our trade deals will be unravelled, every single failure made by Labour will be blamed on Brexit and used to justify rejoining the EU. At the moment probate takes over two years to be gained under the Government body, if Tesco ran the service it would take three days and if desired would be delivered in a van, there will be much buyers remorse after the election, and people will wonder why they allowed about a quarter of the population to give us such a terrible Government. You are very clearly oblivious to the history of the last positive Labour government. The population have, since 1951, given the Tories just on 50years in Parliament, old Labour 11years in parliament and New Labour 13 years in parliament. Clearly you should be frightened of the Conservatives getting in yet again. Your post is just promoting the Tory Project Fear approach, rather comical really. Nothing to do with reality.

Our lying MP was found to be lying five minutes after she took the oath to collect another what was it in the end half a million in salary and expenses. Sorry, expecting me to trust this shitbag that did fuck all about islamic rapists on the streets of our northern towns when he had the chance isn’t good enough

Starmer doesn't go to Specsavers or wear supermarket/high street clothes despite his '' I'm so ordinary pretence'' He's had £20000 given to him and is seemingly aping Elton John for pricey eyewear (that he's suddenly started wearing all day) Just days after Sir Keir Starmer was spotted wearing a £500 hoodie from luxury French fashion house Sandro, it has emerged that a peer donated nearly £20,000 to help the Labour leader with a pre-election glow-up.
Former ASOS chairman Waheed Alli, who sits in the House of Lords, gave stylish Starmer £16,200 for “work clothing” and a further £2,485 for “multiple pairs of glasses”, according to the latest update to his register of interests.
The Labour leader appears to have put that donation to good use after he donned a chic Sandro Orion jacket – which currently retails at £519 at Harrods – while meeting voters in Brighton and pledging to tackle the cost of living crisis.
The donations were received on 17 April and 29 April and pledged by Lord Alli, the former boss of Chorion, fashion retailer Koovs, and was the chairman of online clothing giant ASOS.
Lord Alli is also the director of multiple companies including SGIF 2 investments, Silver Star Productions and SGIK 3 Investments.
Earlier this year, Sir Keir was spotted wearing a pair of £500 glasses by Danish luxury brand Lindberg, according to Guido Fawkes.
The Labour leader has now reportedly switched out his glasses on the campaign trail to a humbler pair – a snip at £220.

Enthusiastic participation in the EU, (Blair wanted us to join the euro) Illegal wars which have resulted in massive destabilisation in the middle east. Ramping up immigration in order to Quote " stick it up the Tories". Selling our gold reserves at rock bottom prices. Trashing personal pension schemes by taxing the dividends.
Is that the last positive Labour Government that you are referring to?

Getting silly in here as usual.
But I wanted to ask you Tories on here what you thought of Rishi Sunak's performance on the debate.
Did you see his behaviour as strong or did you think he was out of order.
Did you think he was clever to bandy the 2,000 per citizen, or do you expect it to back fire on him?
What do you think of the reaction of the media BBC, Channel 4 ITV etc

Sunaks claims were bullshit - but what do you expect in an election campaign?. Do you think Labours claims are any more truthful?
