Here is some good sound advice to pilots to stay well clear of thunderstorms.
…note the bit near the end where hail (as large as an orange) within the storm … can do serious damage to the toughest planes.

Clearly, hailstones (which fall out of the sky) have no anti gravity properties. They are subject to atmospheric freezing because of the adiabatic lapse rate.
And the distraction from the monumental mass energy requirements of the Alcubiere equation is monumental.
