The problem that we have in this country is that MPs no longer represent their constituents. They put themselves first their party second and that's it. Under our single party first past the post system governments will always end in failure otherwise we wouldn't change government. What we need is political reform to give us a political system where our MPs vote for what is best for their constituents and the country NOT their party. MPs need to be employees of the state with a proper contract of employment that not only prevents them from having other jobs and receiving any form of gratuities but also dictates their working hours, holidays etc.

Why should they be worried when this has been the trend for the last 20-30 years? Two reasons Low turnout is how the BNP got two MEP's The same can happen for the rabid left and greens. Indeed, it has The other is that there does come a point where enough people will decide the shysters in positions of power need a wake up call When Harold Wilson fell out of his rowing boat into the sea a caring passing fellow boater hauled the soggy excuse of a party leader onto his craft Be honest if a politician were to drift by in distress today, would you a) risk your neck to save them b) stand and laugh c) livestream their demise and sell the footage on the dark web. For me, c) has been the only way I might see my finances improve under the shower in power for the past decade and future decades to come The point is that the same thing is said at every election, like there is this special meeting about to take place to tackle the problem. Nothing actually changes that could even hint that somebody is worried.

It's a hijacked corrupt party which is in wrongfully occupied territory.

A substantial labour win is better than a partial tight win, in the latter case the labour government would be at the mercy of the marxist minority in the party, the greens and the snp, if Starmer has say a hundred majority he can afford to ignore the nutters and try to govern properly, I see he has dumped the ridiculous new employment conditions that Raynor has tried to get in. He will put VAT on private schooling purely out of spite and to appease those in his party that don't like educated people. I now see that Labour say they will not ditch the Rwanda scheme straight away, the reality of the coming responsibilities must be sinking in, what they intend to do about the unions and the civil service is another matter. Whatever they do it will accelerate wokeism and personal and national bankruptcy under their governance.

What evidence do you have of this "ridiculous new employment conditions that Raynor has tried to get in". Vat on private schooling will provide funds for the very important state education system. Why the insinuated lie about 'national bankruptcy"? Your post continues your wokeism contribution to the forum.

Fishi Sunak puts a brave face on local elections disaster as his survival hopes are boosted by Tory mayor holding on in Tees Valley - after Blackpool South by-election collapse and council bloodbath..... Fishi Sunak put a brave face on grim elections today - as he was given a glimmer of hope with Labour conceding defeat in the Tees Valley mayoral battle. As he tries to fend off a fresh coup bid from Tory rebels, the PM acknowledged that results so far were 'disappointing' but insisted sir-kneel-a-lot had still not sealed the deal. Rishi Richman needs to realise that we are fed up of paying for people who just push into our country and expect us to fund them with the best money can buy. Meanwhile ourselves struggle to live in our own country. Can’t get houses, doctors appointments, hospitals care, elderly care, decent schools, rising crime. We don’t want or need this. Don’t even go near penalising our disabled and sick that have worked and payed into our country. No one wants you and your politics. ......32% turn out lets not forget. Another 68% (including myself) have yet to say their piece. The General Election will not be a walk in the park for either blue or red! Tory incumbent Ben Houchen is being installed for a third term after Labour sources acknowledged they had narrowly 'fallen short' of ousting him despite a 'significant swing'. Three years ago Lord Houchen secured a huge victory with 72 per cent of the vote, but this time he only received 53 per cent on a turnout of just over 30 per cent. In his victory speech, the peer - a close ally of Boris Johnson said he was 'absolutely humbled' and would 'redouble' his work, without mentioning Mr Sunak. Afterwards he made clear he could 'work with' Sir Kneel-a-lot if he becomes PM. Asked why he had been the only candidate not wearing a party rosette at the count he said: 'I didn't have one and I forgot it.' Along with signs that Andy Street is performing strongly in West Mids, the PM could have some much-needed relief after disaster in the Blackpool South by-election and a mounting bloodbath on councils. Polling guru Professor John Curtice said the Tories could be on track to lose 500 councillors and critics are already stepping up calls for Mr Sunak to go. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13379297/Rishi-Labour-defeat-Tees-Valley-mayor-battle-Andy-Street-West-Mids-Blackpool-South-election-council.html

Incidentally "the nutters" have never run a Labour government. No, but we are seeing a minority SNP government being run by the Greens, even down to selecting their leader for them. What evidence do you have of this "ridiculous new employment conditions that Raynor has tried to get in".www.personneltoday.com/hr/employment-rights-bill-labour-angela-rayner-tuc-2023/Vat on private schooling will provide funds for the very important state education system.VAT on private schools will result in many of them closing and thus increasing demand on public schooling, in the unlikely event it does raise any revenue Labour will piss it up the wall with public sector pay rises. Why the insinuated lie about 'national bankruptcy"?Wait and see and all will be revealed.

You are a product of your imagination. Like most self deluded Tories you don't live in the real world. I have always been centre-left in politics, long before New Labour came on the scene. I am still centre Left. I started my adult life with very little in financial terms, got married, fathered children, work my way up from a mediocre income to eventually just over tripling my early income, own my splendid bungalow with an extra large garage, in a desirable village along with two bank accounts. And I am still very much centre left in my political outlook. The more so thanks to the experience of New Labour in office.

The Tories have been in office for the last 14 years, is that why you have a 'splendid bungalow, with a extra large garage in a leafy village, with two bank accounts, sounds like you're doing well under the Tories.
