Scotland is a sovereign country. A Sovereign country would not be reliant on the permission of England to do anything. That is the point. The UK is not a 'forced' union it is a union of, supposedly, like minded countries. This is not how it is playing out though and the Scottish people are beginning to see it. The UK unilaterally left the union of Europe but will not afford the same right to Scotland and are 'forcing' them to remain. That 'force' is all Sturgeon needs to get a whopping majority at the next GE This will come back to haunt 'England' at the next GE, because let's face it Scotland looks at England and sees us for what we are. I don't want Scotland to leave our union, but I can accept that they have the right to do so, should they wish.

They keep wanting a referendum until they get the 'correct' answer.

Red rum your missing out on a couple of things. 1 We had a referendum and the vote was leave so the govenment left to wish of the Majority of people who d a referemdum for scotland to leave the uk most voters voted remain so the Govenment allowed them to remain . 2 Had a referendum to leave the uk most people who voted , voted to remain so the Govenment allowed scotland to remain not that i think the referemdums was totaly Democratic has the referemdums was treated like a GE instead of a regional election like council elections. if trated like council elections Scotland , Ni ireland and even london would been able to remain in the Eu because thats what the marjorty of people wanted in them regions . Also if traeted like a council election morre citizens of the uk would been able to vote.

They now want to soften the rest of the electorate up because they're telling all and sundry that every problem Britain faces is down to Brexit. Just like the SNATS they lost a democratic vote and want(ed) to run it again and again until they got/get the desired result. They (remainers) now know they won't get another referendum in the short-term at least, so they blame everything from Covid to the war in Ukraine on Brexit to sow doubt amongst the rest of the population.

I think it's now clear that referenda are a bad idea since the losers immediately demand another.
Let's have no more of this nonsense, it's getting boring now.

What do you think would happen if they exercised their 'right' as a free country to declare independence?
