The camoron. Who didn't have the balls to stay after his defeat over the referendum....And the "situation we are now in" can be laid at his and the other UK traitors front doors.
Leaving European Convention on Human Rights ‘not necessary,’ Camoron says.....
Leaving the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) is not “necessary” to prevent small boat crossings, Lord David Camoron has said amid Tory divisions over the UK’s membership of the treaty.
But the Foreign Secretary appeared to concede that a returns agreement with France to break up people-smuggling gangs is “simply not possible” because of “the situation we’re in”.

He is a complete disaster, he turned the Tories red, wanted to invite China in to this country, took money from greensill, is EU oriented, and is a count. He is a poltical pox.

The situation the country is now in can only be laid on the front doors of those who were misled into voting for Brexit, and the Conservative governments that have misled and mishandled matters since the referendum.

I agree, it's certainly fair criticism to say the Tories moved left or to the centre ground from 2010, I suppose that could be explained away due to the fact we had a Con/Lib coalition but the problem is every Tory prime minister since Cameron has also been centrist. For some reason proper centre right Conservative MP's are as rare as hens teeth, but I suspect if we have a Labour government things may change.

There is more chance of The Mediterranian Sea freezing over than there is of the UK leaving the ECHR
The majority of Conservative MPs would not back leaving
Virtually no Labour, Lib Dem or SNP MP's would vote to leave the ECHR
If the polls are about the same come the general election, the Conservatives will be defeated, a battle for the party will then take place with traditional Conservatives fighting the Populists for control of the party - IF the populists win, and if something went badly wrong during Keir Starmers premiership ( a recession, another world crisis etc ), then maybe, just maybe it might happen.

So, build refugee camps in Scotland on uninhabited islands. If the devolved junta object, abolish devolution.

These are the traditional Tory policies that most so called "working class people" wont vote for, and the Tories would have no chance of taking back The Red Wall. Last time Labour were in government, they repaired all the neglect and damage done to our NHS, much to the satisfaction of the British public, they did much for ordinary people, for working people on low incomes, helped families and single parents with things like SureStart and working tax credits. The ONLY reason that the Tories somehow managed to scrape to victory in 2010 with assistance from the Lib Dems, was because enough people believed the pack of lies that the banking crisis and subsequent recession that followed was "all Labours fault". It took a world crisis plus a pack of lies to just about scrape to government in 2010 for Cameron, but would a different Tory leader ( after Sunak ) be so lucky. ?

Business Secretary Kemi Badenoch has slammed Foreign Secretary Lord David Camoron by accusing him of a “dereliction of duty” over the 2016 Brexit referendum.
Badenoch, who supported Brexit, criticised her now-Cabinet colleague for not planning for an outcome in which a majority of Britons would vote to cut ties with the Brussels bloc.
The former Prime Minister ended up losing, with Leave receiving 52 per cent and Remain languishing behind on 48 per cent.
Camoron resigned from Number 10 and the House of Commons but was spectacularly brought back as Foreign Secretary last November.

Yes indeed, Conservatives believe in the free market and small government, Labour believe in a heavily regulated market and large government. However, this was not the reason Labour constituencies or 'the red wall' voted Tory in 2019. The single issue that most people in working class Labour constituencies voted on was immigration which since 2019 has got worse. So if Labour voters are still concerned about immigration, and why wouldn't they be, who do they vote for? A Labour party who openly say they will have a closer relationship with the EU and will inevitably allow more immigration, or a conservative party who since 2019 have done nothing to stop the invasion from the EU? It's a poser. You mention the NHS which is an anvil around the neck of every government. The opposition always use the NHS as a political hot potato to bash the government with, and governments are afraid to reform it because it's seen as such a sensitive issue. The result is an inefficient top heavy NHS that costs £billions and the reason things are unlikely to improve is because politicians always think short term, they throw more cash at the problem and say look how much we've spent. The NHS needs massive reform but it wont happen because politicians are frightened to touch it. You appear to be an ideological lefty, as such you will as a matter of course sneer at conservative policy and praise Labour policy, regardless of outcomes. But the fact is the British Conservative party is the most successful political party in the world, you will of course sneer, but it's a fact. Over the next five years (Assuming Labour win the election) we will see the current small 'c' conservative government change dramatically and move back to the centre right and once more become proper Conservatives, and after five years of a pro EU, pro immigration, pro net zero, pro woke Labour government, the country will be crying out for change.

Indeed. It’s incredible that he was brought back into government. Sunak is clueless .

Firstly, your comment about The Most Successful Political Party in the free world, that would be the Liberal Party of Canada, a centre to centre Left political party which governed Canada for 70 years in the 20th century, and so far for 16 years in the 21st century, and in government today. Ideologically I would describe myself as a Social Democrat, partly because I know that that this style and type of Left is hugely successful, combining The Free Market with Social Justice, promoting BOTH enterprise and fair protections for the employee, the consumer, the tenant, the patient, the sick, the old, the vulnerable etc. The Conservative Party is too far in favour of the employer, the big business, the landlord, and often puts cost and profit over and above people. A very good example of what I mean has been in the news this week - ONE THIRD OF TORY MPs WHO ATTEMPTED TO WEAKEN / WATER DOWN TENANTS RIGHTS BILL ARE LANDLORDS. Its not a case of the Labour Party wanted a "heavily regulated market and big government", its actually a case of the Conservative Party wanting too little regulation, and leaving too many people open to abuses, unfair practices, unfair employment legislation, and vulnerable to public services which are either not fit for purpose or dont work properly. One of the biggest and most utterly shameful legacies of this government is the appaling state of childrens mental health services, and I know for CERTAIN that if Starmer becomes PM later this year, he will fix that problem, and its a problem that would never ever have happened under a Labour government. My simple motto in regard to politics is ... Capitalism With A Social Conscience
