Oh yes, I quite agree my list of Starmers priorities is indeed fiction, how do they word it in Hollywood...fiction based on fact. However, I think we may find that within a few months of a Labour election victory, fiction rapidly becomes a reality. Edit: I notice you say 'cos' rather than because. This coupled with the fact that you're a Labour voter suggests you're an inexperienced chav, of course I could be wrong. it's reminiscent of Tony Blair putting on his Essex accent to make it appear he is a normal working guy - all totally fake of course.. Denigration again.

Then stand next to See2. Labour is riven with identity politics . It’s meat and gravy to them. the tories are well used to all this virtue signalling as well...it's all part of the game...they're all tits deep in it Starmer has an added problem to face if he becomes PM. Not only will he have the problem of picking the nation up off its knees, he will have to face the prospect of readying the country for a possible WW3 that is now concerning the Western democratic countries. Not a great time to become PM.

Lies are second nature to Righties ^^^ Immature smartarse replies make you look so stupid. Ah yes. Tony B. Liar and the WMD's. Ring any bells? Hans Blix on withdrawing inspections from Iraq in 2003. Introducing the thirteenth quarterly report of the United Nations Monitoring, Verification and Inspection Commission (UNMOVIC), Mr. Blix, the Commission’s Executive Chairman, said significant quantities of proscribed items had also not been found, apart from the Al Samoud 2 missiles, 50 of which had been destroyed under the Commission’s supervision. That did not necessarily mean that such items could not exist. But long lists of items remained unaccounted for and “it is not justified to jump to the conclusion that something exists just because it is unaccounted for”. The long list of proscribed items unaccounted for had not been shortened by inspections or Iraqi declarations, explanations or documentation, he continued. It was up to Iraq to present items unaccounted for, or present evidence convincing the inspectors that the items did not exist. If that was not done, the international community could not have confidence that past programmes had been terminated. However, “an effective presence of international inspectors would serve as a deterrent against efforts aimed at reactivating or developing new programmes of weapons of mass destruction”, he said. Although during the last month and a half of inspections the Iraqi side had made considerable efforts to provide information, those efforts had not brought needed answers, he said. There had not been time to interview more than a handful of the large number of persons who were said by Iraq to have participated in the unilateral destruction of biological and chemical weapons in 1991. Such interviews might have helped, but one must be aware that the totalitarian regime in Iraq continued to cast a shadow on the credibility of all interviews. press.un.org/en/2003/sc7777.doc.htm

The right leaning public, the vast majority, will vote enogh for Labour to win, then realise that the problems havent got better, but worse. There will be more crises in government. Only then will the country realise that neither party is fit, and there will be a gaping hole for new thinking.
Hopefully for Reform, they are poised.
As is Nigel Farage, who is waiting for the right moment to rejoin mainstream politics, what he does will have a profound effect. Will he jump before or after the election,? having been kicked out, the Tories will be in crisis, will he join them?, the sane Tories will have gained strength from being out, the right wing.
You cant be left wing and expect to win owt. If it was me id wait till after. In psychiatry there is crisis theory, that profound change can only happen in a crisis, denial and resistance is too stong before.
If Farage joins, we might get a proper Tory party back. As always, internal battles will decide everything.
It amazing to me that socialism is proven to be.....over and over again.......a complete effing failure....yet it still rears its ugly head. And as in hotel california.....you cant just kill the beast. Self defeat, sabotaging ourselves is part of us, it cant be done away with. Just limited as best we can, coped with.

And when have Labour ever done that? They are the enemy of ordinary people. Labour repaired the 18 years of damage and neglect of a Tory government from 1997, the chronic staff shortages in our NHS, the appaling waiting lists which were growing, the waiting times, the low staff morale. The enemy of ordinary people would not introduce a Minimum Wage ( opposed at the time by the Tories ). The enemy of ordinary people would not create SureStart, or introduce tax incentives making part time work worthwhile in low income jobs, or give every pensioner free bus travel and a Winter Fuel Allowance. The period 1997 - 2007 was the last time things were good in this country, public services improved, we had real sustainable growth, living standards improved, things were so good that the period even got its own label of "Cool Brittania". And then they ran out of other peoples money.

Again, not true The crisis happened AFTER Blair left office, there was no excessive borrowing until the WORLD-WIDE financial crisis hit, followed by the recession, a recession which Gordon Brown sucessfully brough the UK out of and took the economy back to accelerating growth ..... but then the coalition took over, and everything went backwards, the rest is history.

Your first comment is pure opinion, just what it is based upon could be interesting. Farage is a serious liar, insinuator and a deceiver, IMO he is amongst the very worst type of right-wing politician. That's why he has a love affair with Trump, birds of a feather.

Labour will make a better job of improving and growing our economy because Progressive Politics believes in "Intervention", which is a dirty word to British Conservatives, they dont do intervention.
The idea that a government can create a company to lead and compete in energy is not anything the Conservatives would ever contemplate, to them ONLY the free market rules, no matter what the consequences.
How different continental / European Conservatives are, such as the CDU in Germany, who are much more progressive than UK Conservatives, the Germans truly follow the "Social Market Economy" model, which made Germany the powerhouse and leading economy of Europe.
The Tories here say they want to fix the housing crisis, but they absolutely refuse to consider local authority housing ( council housing ) for people to rent. The Tories ALWAYS insist that only the free market, the private landlords and their failed pathways to buying property are the only way.
Where I live ( and in many areas ) there is no such thing as affordable homes to buy, but our Tory council, our Tory MP are not interested, its not a problem to them because they live on their big farms and stately homes, its a serious problem thats not on their agenda.
We desperately need a different government with different priorities - priorities which will actually help ordinary people.
