The wealthy do pay for treatment, the wealthy pay more taxes than most people. They also have the option of going private.

Those who do have private insurance don't use the NHS, so quit complaining. Actually… While those on Sunaks level of taxpayer funded health provision get private beds in private buildings, most private health insurance that covers you for delays over six weeks actually treats you in an NHS PAY BED The consultants are pretty brazen about it. They are happy to treat you in a private hospital for thousands of pounds a night or an NHS one for hundreds.

They are happy to treat you in a private hospital for thousands of pounds a night or an NHS one for hundreds. And since the NHS rents out its facilities to the private sector, it is the former that is ultimately responsible for the queue jumping And the Scottish health minister has made it clear the report of privatisation in Scotland, unlike the privatisation now in England, is a load of bollocks. Over the last decades the Scottish NHS has been funded more generously in Scotland, by Scotland's own money than in England. Spending per head in the former has been 20–25% higher than in the latter (a difference only partly balanced by the higher rate of private spending in England). In short greed in England. Not surprising as the PFI debt in the Local authority health trust in the NHS sector alone is now some £300 billion. That matey is more than he entire gold reserve held by the BoE. And not only do I as a Scottish tax payer pay for Scottish NHS. I have to pay for yours as well. Including that PFI debt. Another reason why Scotland can no longer afford bankrupt England.
