And that's the thing isn't it: Shrieks is demonstrably guilty of hatred, yet wants to make hatred a crime... For others.
It's the hypocrisy of the left writ large, again. We are all capable of feeling hatred. It is a normal reaction in response to certain situations. If some twat raped your wife you will most definitely hate him. Anyone would. But whilst hating people for the wrongs they have done to you or others can be a natural and understandable reaction if the things done are bad enough, hating people for their skin colour, or gender, or sexual orientation and stupid shit like that is moronic. Anyone who for example hates black people is best advised to keep it to themselves. To express hatred for such reasons openly is a potential hate crime. If you did it in most workplaces you would lose your job. I have known a colleague to be sacked for exactly that, having been stupid enough to post an anti-muslim rant on Facebook, made worse by the fact that we had a well liked and decent colleague who happened to be an Egyptian and a Muslim working with us at the time. Hatred for what people are rather than for any wrongs they have done as individuals is rightly becoming increasingly unacceptable, however much the ageing knuckle draggers around here mourn the passing of an age where it was okay to call someone a n*gger. But of course they are not racists, oh deary me no. Because in their world suggesting that because a woman that they hate presumably because of her politics happens to be black, and suggesting that this is a legitimate reason for hating all other black women whose only thing in common with Abbot is skin colour and gender is somehow not racist at all. This clearly signposts either ignorance and stupidity or racism to anyone who is not at least subconsciously racist themselves. Just about the entirety of the commentariat and parliament can see it for what it is. Hardly anyone does not see it. Except the usual suspect saddoes around here. And you are indeed a sad and sorry bunch, barking at the moon as if anyone cares about your petty bigotries. Your time is passing. Britain is moving on without you. My generation and yours will all be going gaga in some care home in a decade or two, whilst many others will have shuffled off this earth to whatever awaits them in the afterlife. The yesteryear you all hanker after, a world where whites were assumed to be superior and on top, and where non-whites and women knew their place, is gone forever. You are irrelevant to the future. He did not say it was a legitimate reason he indicated it was a pressure to feel that way and he said he did not despite that pressure. So once again he said he was not racist and got called racist for actually saying that.

Minimisation? What you mean like Abbott claiming Jews don’t suffer lifetime racism, you believe that really? I’m no defender of what’s going on in Gaza but Jews aren’t Nutanyahu and the Middle Easts problems don’t belong here nor do it’s people and their religious wars. Much of our problems are down to Blair and others trying to impose western values and influence and the disaster of pushing the Arab spring, they should’ve been left to make their own way in their own time. Indefensible? Let me ask you the question I’ve put to others ( with no reply) any questions regarding asylum seekers and Stone Age religious values are met with the usual racist tag, anyway to the question, the once liberal Scandinavian societies that opened their doors and were held as the example of this countries shortcomings are now rowing back on a massive error so do you believe those people went from that liberal outlook to now hard right racism or did they learn a lesson our country has to? @srb7677 No reply was the answer? Actually I had decided to enjoy a few relaxing beers and decided that all the racist bigots in denial in this thread - not including you in that - were best avoided when drinking. Too big a risk of me saying something I might regret. If I said what I really thought about one or two of them, using the language most suited to that, I would definitely get myself in trouble with the mods. lol Anyway I am here now for a short time. Insofar as hard right racism being a lesson we need to learn, as you seem to be saying, we have been there before. It led to the most destructive war in human history and the deaths of millions in gas chambers. The lesson we need to learn from the hard right is what it has led to in the post. They tend to nurture and feed off hate, othering scapegoat groups. In 1930s Germany it was the Jews. In Europe today it is Muslims. You appear to have learned nothing from history insofar as the hard right are concerned. Yes, all forms of extremism, including religious extremism is bad and ought to be discouraged. But to blame all Muslims for the crimes of a few is tactic number one in the bigot's playbook. Anyway, I have to go now because I have a life away from this forum, so please do not interpret a lack of response as a deliberate omission. I never even noticed the post I am now responding to until this morning. For some reason not every quote of me is triggering a notification. Yours didn't. No idea why.

And the only ignorance and stupidity being signposted is yours since you've repeatedly failed to understand that no one has actually said what you keep claiming. You clearly overlooked that in your usual eagerness to shout "Racism" where none existed. But that's lefties for you: Stupid as mud. Perhaps you'd be better off addressing your own anti-Semitism.

If you are too stupid to know that Heston is a racist, when even the party he supports has admitted as much, then clearly you ARE a racist yourself. And by YOUR very own logic that would also make Diane Abbott a racist ...
Ms Abbott had served as a Labour MP since 1987, but was suspended from sitting in the parliamentary party in 2023 after she said Irish, Jewish and Traveller people were not subject to racism "all their lives". She withdrew her remarks and apologised "for any anguish caused"
Labour MP Diane Abbott has had the whip suspended following remarks in which she suggested Jewish people do not face racism, but instead suffer prejudice similar to "redheads".
Abbott is the worst kind of racist, because she believes it's only Black people who can be victims of racism, and she plays that racist card to perfection.
Why is srb ignoring my post?

Almost everyone in the media and in politics can see obvious racism when it broadcasts itself, even the ones he donated the money to. Are they all stupid? Or are you not seeing what is obvious to most others because you don't want to? Hester may well have legitimate reasons for disliking Abbott that have nothing to do with skin colour. Her politics or her conduct for example. But to then link this dislike to her colour which no non-racist would even have mentioned and suggesting that it almost made him want to hate all other black women, most of whom have nothing in common with Abbott besides skin colour and gender, is clearly racist. And only an idiot or another racist in denial would fail to understand that.

Why is srb ignoring my post? Because I have a life away from this forum and have more productive things to do with my time than arguing with blatant racists. Whatever Diane Abbot is alters nothing insofar as Hester's own racism is concerned. Whether or not Abbott thinks only black people experience racism, which would be a stupid thing to say, you yourself only seem able to recognise racism when it is not white people being racist. A fact which betrays you.

There is nothing to address. I am not any kind of racist. But feel free to quote any actual examples of antisemitism from me... Now, let's recap shall we Shrieks? You said: Ok shithead. And for the record I do not assume that everyone to the right of me is a racist. But I think you are... For which you have produced no evidence whatsoever. Now, for the record, I do not assume that everyone to the left of me is an anti-Semite. But I think you are... On exactly the same basis. OK, Shithead?

LOL..... how predictable, I would have put my shirt on you denying Abbott was a racist, that makes it by YOUR own 'twisted' logic Hester is a racist, couldn't make this shit up if you tried.

So Abbott's law, you can make racist remarks about Jews because it's just like being prjudice about 'redheads', or you can be racist against Irish Traveler's because they aren't subject to racism 'all of their lives'.
FFS The world according to Abbott only BLACK people suffer from racism, the rest of the World doesn't count.
Abbott is a out-and-out Racist.

Your conduct om this thread tends to suggest to me that you are a closet racist. The Jews do mot even really figure in this discussion. And for the record, my dislike of Netanyahu is not a valid reason for me to dislike all Jewish men. Because that really would be racist, wouldnt it?

That must have happened in your imagination, unless you struggling with reading English. Because I did not express an opinion on whether Abbot is a racist or not. I certainly didnt deny it. But actual quotes of racist commentary by her in reliable sources would help me to make up my mind. I dont know if she is a racist or not because I am not one of her followers and do not myself have a high opinion of her.
