It's been manufactured by those who want to throw their own beliefs upon the rest of society. Women's rights and safe spaces have now been encroached upon by delusional men. There are plenty of JK Rowling's in the world who feel the same. Why are they ignored? Trans people didn't just spring into existence in the last few years, as I understand it there have been references to transgender people going back to ancient civilizations. I'm assuming that trans women have been using women's toilets for decades, I don't remember there being arguments about it when I was growing up in the 80s and 90s, so why is it suddenly a problem now? Could it be because culture war warriors like Lee Anderson see it as a wedge issue they hope to win a few votes with? Well I have no recollection of what you say regarding the 80's and 90's, and I make no "assumptions" about the past. What I do see at present or very recently, is that the alphabet people and in particular the trans mob try and impose their views and delusions onto society. It's these people who demand the spotlight with their vociferous voices threatening female "TERFS" who want to protect their rights, services, sports and safe spaces for these deluded idiots. Folk, like Anderson and JK Rowling are a reaction to this movement who have initiated this culture war. It's not rocket science. Why should the JK Rowling's of this world have their rights taken away from them, and their voices silenced and ignored? Could it be, that culture warrior parties like Labour love to play identity politics with minority groups in Britain to swell their support as some revolutionary civil rights movement who despise their nation's traditions and rub ever more diversity into the noses of the right - even if it marginalises women's rights?

If it’s a non issue , why are the left fighting so hard for it , why is the trans lobby powerful enough to shout down JK Rowling snd why is denying it edging towards a ‘ hate crime ‘. Yes you do have to accept trans women as men and you should not have to . Trans women are men with a delusion . Society should accommodate people with delusions but not to the point of joining in on the delusion . You have turned this topic upside down, it is not "the left" who are fighting hard on it, it's the other way around, the "populist right" who are continually trying to make it an issue, for me personally I couldnt give a toss about Trans men or Trans women, its just not a political issue to me.The NHS is a political issue, as is rising homelesness, poverty, the economy, defence, but for me trans people are a fact of life, I accept them for who they are. This is gaslighting.

I think witchy has a point about 80s90s When I use to drink in my early days.
In my late teens early 20s I use to go into Manchester a lot and vist the Gay village because of the night life .
Has I said before a lot of straight women go down there especially young Students . Because they feel safe and not threatened And I seen both Trans and Drag Queens using the women's toilet. No issue . there.
I said before on this topic I believe that trans is a Mental illness and I said my niece is a person who feel she a Girl trapped in a man's body .
As well has being a lesdion .known she was lesion from about the age of nine but she struggle with her Sexual indenty until.she was about 20 . She came to live with me when she was 16 because my brother and his wife kicked her out.has a child she was isolated never allowed to go out except for School. And she was always made to made to wear mens clothes .never a dress or Skirt . On her 18th Birthday I bought her a nice dress for her family party . She was dead Chuffed .
Anyway at the party i seen my brother and his wife take My niece a side and asked her why she was wearing a dress .
Not saying all trans had a difficult life style .
But like I said I believe it's a mental illness. And think it's adisgusting that them on the right try and Make a issue out of it because of there standard narrow minded bigotry.
You only got to look at some on here to mock my English written word .
To see how immoral some right wingers are .

As for threatening behaviour: "Hate crimes against transgender people hit record high in England and Wales" www.theguardian.com/society/2023/oct/05/record-rise-hate-crimes-transgender-people-reported-england-and-walesAre there any equivalent figures for hate crimes going in the opposite direction?

How is banning someone of the wrong sex from a single sex space a 'hate crime'? When using the wrong pronoun is now a 'hate crime' do you not think the net has been cast unfeasibly wide?

But in the days when rolling ones eyes is apparently a "Micro-aggression" telling the truth could be considered a demonstration of hostility.
Hence I wonder what these so-called "Hate crimes" actually were.

I didn't say banning someone from single sex space is a hate crime, I said banning trans people from public toilets would be forcing your views on others. Regardless of your thoughts on the definition of a hate crime, are there any equivalent figures for hate crime going in the opposite direction?
