How is banning someone of the wrong sex from a single sex space a 'hate crime'? When using the wrong pronoun is now a 'hate crime' do you not think the net has been cast unfeasibly wide? I didn't say banning someone from single sex space is a hate crime, I said banning trans people from public toilets would be forcing your views on others. Regardless of your thoughts on the definition of a hate crime, are there any equivalent figures for hate crime going in the opposite direction? Thats the point - the definition of 'hate crime' has been drawn so loosely that practically anything now can be considered a 'hate crime' And then guess what - the numbers of 'hate crimes' increase... |

You have turned this topic upside down, it is not "the left" who are fighting hard on it, it's the other way around, the "populist right" who are continually trying to make it an issue, for me personally I couldnt give a toss about Trans men or Trans women, its just not a political issue to me.The NHS is a political issue, as is rising homelesness, poverty, the economy, defence, but for me trans people are a fact of life, I accept them for who they are.
