I havent read all the pages but, i find it remarkable how the obvious can be ignored even with the benefit of hindsight. Our species still has a problem with learning from history and may be the end of us, i wonder if we are a dead end in regards to creation.
And we will be if Putin etc wins. Nature has a way of ending species that dont work, abruptly. The goal of humans is to co-operate, not fight, that is the only way we can populate the Universe, and allow God the greater intelligencee to know itself.
We should be working to find a way off this planet, if we dont its goodnight Irene.
The victory of Putin, Chi etc the price will be greater than living under a ssholes.

How to end the war: All occupying forces leave Ukraine. Russia to pay reparations. That's all it takes.

In the long term the sun is going to run out of hydrogen to fuse into helium, and the resultant switch in main sequence reaction will see it swell up to a size where it's photosphere engulfs and incinerates everything as near as Mars So in that sense yes as Eric Burdon so aptly put it 'we gotta get out of this place' But forgive me for the bluntness but are you not one who believes a bloke last seen wearing a scruffy beard unkempt hair and sandals wandering round not making much sense in a graveyard is coming back in shiny white clobber on a white horse to sort it all out LONG before then ....

If you are talking about Jesus, his crucifiction was a desperate attempt to tame animals, albeit animals that have a notion of god. That any node of primitive energy can be diverted from its prime course, that in a dog, it is to eat. I can appreciate literature, poetry, art, music, but my dogs cannot. Maybe the gap between humans and god, Jesus, is greater than the gap between me and my dogs. The prime course of humans is to attain power, to accumulate, etc.
Maybe god, the Universe has already intervened to spare man kind, we can die as a species in many ways in a vain attempt, hope, that we can attain something better than war, wealth, self aggrandisement, selfishness of an magnum scale, and develop love for all things. Fat chance there. Evolution does not stop, maybe the next step is already here. My hope for the future is to be left alone, so that in the next world i can savour every moment, in an all encompassing peace, free from a futile need to be better than the next man, or to survive, as all living things have to do that.
Maybe God, whatever it is, wont intervene next time, and wont as you say, sort it, who could blame him, it, she. Start again. The Ukraine war is a symptom that we have learnt a big fat nowt.
