Posters stated that "senior police were present" - a lie Posters stated that "crates of beer were ordered for 30 people" - a lie There was no inquiry so we will never know who was there, but reliable sources said 'senior police officers' were present, even in the guise of police security.
Why do you think it was nicknamed 'BEERgate'? FFS ..... the clue is in the word BEER.
So what enquiry was that then fiddles?

Most of these posts are full of nothing but lies, assumptions and exaggerations, probably because you all read The Daily Mail... That statement is a lie. I guess it would be if referring to you — your main guiding opinion deliverer is GB News, isn't it...?

If you look back on the thread it is there for all to see .. If you mean the link you posted, then I'd say your recollection was wrong. Every reference in the report is a Tory claim or a report of a Tory claim...

I have no idea how Labour/Starmer/Rayner are going run a General Election campaign while this is hanging over them, if they think the media and public are going to let it drop then they are even bigger idiots than we thought they were.

In the case of Boris Johnson, the emails and WhatsApp messages which went out, clearly stated that one of the events at least WAS A SOCIAL GATHERING, it specifically stated "Get Together", and it further stated "BYO booze". It was conclusively proved that it was not a working meeting.
There is absolutely no comparison between the two events involving Johnson and Starmer, the event involving the Labour leader has been conclusively proved that it was as part of a working meeting, proven by date and time stamped videos, and proven by on-line activity during and after the consumption of food.
As I recall, one of the Boris partys was a birthday party which involved a buffet and birthday cake - do posters REALLY not know the difference. ?

Except that its NOT hanging over them is it ? The matter has been dealt with, there were TWO police investigations which both came to the same conclusion, the case is closed, finished, history, and for most people .. forgotten about.

NO the matter has not been dealt with, because Ange and Keir say the matter is dealt with, that doesn't mean it is, it's just wishful thinking on their part.

I think they're more than capable of dealing with a bit of local immature schoolyard language and Australian-contrived sexual innuendo...

Am I a liar?.. But if we were to believe the allegations, we know there were between 15 and 30 people there and the whole bash cost £200. That's peanuts for 30 people, and maybe a snack and a beer for 15. Some lavish party!
Christ, when sandwiches and drinks are ordered for an office working lunch, we budget up to £25 a head...

Speculation and opinion without any evidence ^ --------------------------------------------------------- And as for yesterdays so called "protest by members of the public" in the market town of Yarm "On a campaign event today in Teesside, the deputy Labour leader was met by three men in high-vis jackets, one of whom was later identified as local Tory councillor John Coulson who took part in the protest alongside other Conservative councillors" (The Spectator)
