Well, in that case can you explain "vast majority" to me? The vast majority who are not lefty wokey snowflake arseholes Andy...Or better known as the SILENT MAJORITY... Can we agree that 67 is not a vast majority, even if you discount the "lefty woke snowflakes"? Basically the government haven't gone in for the kill on this one, so unless he chooses to resign, he will remain in post. |

Hoyle is very respected so most MPs will not want to be seen sticking the boot in.
The political hay will be made over how he came to the decision. Was he pressurised by anybody in Labour, and if so who?
67 is quite high though. Previous speakers have resigned over far less.
Starmer has lost the Muslim vote, and he lose some voters who see this episode as bowing down to the mob. It won't stop him winning, but it could effect how big the majority is. Who knows, he could be a few mistakes away from having to go into coalition with the SNP.

I think the Remoaner Tories would rather lose the next GE and let Starmer spearhead our rejoining of the EU, this is one reason why Labour appear to be getting off scott free and the Tories continually letting them off the hook, like now.
The Tory Remoaners are prepared to lose the next GE in favour of Starmer cozying back up with the EU, they don't want the Tories on the continued path of drawing us further and further away from their beloved EU.
My opinion. ^^

Well I had a good idea my 'opinion' would turn in to a conspiracy, but I actually think it's a open secret, the fact there are a lot of bitter Remoaners in all political parties, joining forces to get their own way is not unheard of, you would be very surprised at the lengths they will go to to rejoin the EU, even betraying their own party and voters. |
