Sorry you will have to write that again if Im going to reply to it . Wouldn't want any misunderstanding . What I'm saying is that with all the Other State benefits pay for by NI Contribution . It leaves very little towards State pension. OK and what Im saying is after paying the pensions there is very little left for other state benefits . Maybe we should stop paying able bodied people to sit at home or how about not spending £150 million on not sending anyone to Rwanda ? Just don't know why you have a bee in your bonnet about the old folk who are just getting what has been promised all their working lives |

The lefties with pension envy are doing just enough to reduce or stagnate their own pensions .
I suppose that some of them might have been paid crap wages over their working lives , know they will never get a good state pension and want to deny a decent pension to their contemporaries who have worked harder and/or smarter than themselves because of sheer bitterness and jealousy.

There are plenty of less well off, public sector workers, still working hard, who have suffered years of both pay freezes and below inflation pay rises.
It is nothing other than hypocricy that pensioners can have inflation busting rises and public sector workers cannot have a pay rise merely in line with inflation at best.
The pensions rise is totally political, its to buy votes
