As far as i know this is not coming out of the foreign aid budget - this is a separate, and now significant, budget. There is an idea though - perhaps the countries producing asylum seekers should foot any costs and, if unwilling, then deductions made from their foreign aid? I have other ideas as well - when the Americans supported our war efforts, the support was provided in the form of a loan. Ah, my error. I thought someone said it was funded from foreign aid. You are mostly right. In principle our spend on these migrants is now counted as foreign aid. Unfortunately as our whole budget for that is committed some time in advance these latest migrant costs are an overspend on that budget so has to come from Treasury reserves. See www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-63618900The government is set to breach its cap on foreign aid spending because so much of the budget is being used to pay for asylum seekers in the UK.
Spending is currently set at 0.5% of national income - around £11bn.
The BBC has learned that Chancellor Jeremy Hunt is expected to admit there will be an overspend of £1bn or so in each of the next three years pushing aid spending to an estimated 0.55%.
The Treasury said there were "significant pressures" on aid budgets.

I'd be pissed off even if it was the grotty Britannia chain of hotels, housing illegal young men who've never paid one penny in to our tax system being housed for FREE in hotels and other accommodation, while they sit about doing fuck all, all day, this country is finished.

The Hilton is charging 5* prices for a 4* hotel, outrageous, I've given you the link, because it's the Daily Mail you call it lies.

Oh FFS Fair society I even gave you the link to click that would give you the true rates And now you get angry because unlike you the Daily Mail doesn't own me When you hire out rooms for 'Wedding venues', which if you read the link it says 'wedding bookings cancelled', they will be paying £300 a night, try booking any hotel like the Hilton for a Wedding and you'll see that £300 a night is the going rate, you try booking that Hilton as a Wedding venue, then get back to me with those figures, that's what the Daily Mail are quoting, and it's correct.

So in short FS you were owned by the Daily Mail with its '£146 to £300-a-night hotel' BS and went abusive when you realised that this was being pointed out with proof As I have proved, it is not a £300 a night hotel, you have no evidence whatsoever that the Home Office is paying £900 a night and yet you have the sheer dishonesty to accuse me again of posting lies (that you of course cannot ever evidence because it's just a made up shite accusation)
Do you not think you'd be happier on BS-4-Tourettes-sufferers.com?

But the government wont be paying £300 a night. As I've pointed out several times, they are not getting the mini bar the use of the pool and the palates class. Anyone who's stayed in a 5 star hotel knows its not just the room you pay for its the service that comes with it.
Add to this ITS NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL. It doesn't even have a HRACC rating.

Maybe, but then I remember the uproar and all the lies trying to cover it up, when people said they were being put up in hotels. I never saw anyone deny they were being put up in hotels The problem is the Home Office has run out of cheap hotel accomodation so are making deals with 3 and 4 star hotels and the likes of the Daily Mail will be wildly exaggerating knowing mugs will believe them. There's plenty of room at Manston to build our own Guantanamo
