It's getting spent on keeping people like you in a job. What a waste of money No Aurtrsty no Govement dept from. Labour. Thanks for Clearing that up.. That's all you ever go on about Is the taxes you pay. Your a selfish individual aren't you . But without people like me running the country your healthcare and benefits wouldn't get sorted. And while I agree that's a waste of money in your case, it's not so for many others. Besides, your mates in Labour love the public sector. So if Starmer gets in expect a lot more of us. And I'll probably get a nice pay rise. Kerching!🤣 healthcare I use like most of the County and benefits wouldn't get sorted What Benifits I was self employed who run.a Small taxi firm..I took Early retirement without drawing my pension. I have a steady and comfortable life style. I'll probably get a nice pay rise Yep confirmation what I said your a selfish man. But I'm sure when. Labour get in you take the opportunity to take early retirement and have a very good life Style seeing your so Wealthy. Plus your high pension paid by the tax payer. Your laughing all the Way to the bank.

Oh look, I'm being dogpiled by the cerebrally challenged.
"Dogpiled". I do like that word, it's very much like dogshit.
Which sums up the majority of your posts on this board.🤣

When Labour came to power under Blair they inherited a strong economy and money in the Treasury, when Gormless Gordon took over as PM as Blair headed for the hills, Brown was warned about the World Wide Financial meltdown and did nothing, which meant taxpayers money was spent to stop UK based Banks going under. Brown made our Tax System even more complicated he also sold off some of some of our Gold Reserves but made it known before he sold it off so the price of gold went down , when Labour lost power the Treasury Coffers were empty. Hence the years of austerity Government spending was reduced to fill them again, fast forward to Covid7 my grandkids will be paying that debt off for years Thought you don't reply to me Seems to be a regular thing of you. At least your admitting the Economy was strong when Sir Tony was in And the funny thing is your chums say there no Aurtrsty to. Pay the dept off who' lying you or them Has for Brown being.warned I'm sure America was hit worse than us and LIceland went Bankrupt so it seems Mr Brown didn't do such a bad job after all dose it You assume wrongly I posted to the Forum not you directly as it is a waste of time.

You talk about Austerity as if there was a choice. We had a trillion pound debt after the Financial Crisis, and the EU mandated austerity for the all counties effected. You can argue whether we came out of it quick enough, but there was no option but to have it. We had literally just started to pay some of the debt off when Covid hit... now we are completely screwed. When Labour come into power do you think they are magically going to make the debt and interest disappear? No I don't think they will just pull money out of the hat . And think after the mess the Economy in now they might have to have austerity measures . Has for Blaming the EU I've answered that Else where in this Country we had austerity Measures. And if it was imposed by the EU have you seen how well Greece .Italy .both countery under Threat of Bankruptcy. Plus Ireland and Portugal. All have Come out laughing the other side of austerity except us Has for Covid typical Rory excuse are we the only country to Suffer from. It ? Post hight of the pandemic we were the laughing stock. Of the G7 and EU because are Growth was so bad the worst of the lot. It's started to pick up now but still well below where we Should be . No Covid I's no.excuse. The only main benefactor what dosent effect others is Brexit. Has for a trillion depth labour left after a world wide Recession . Have you seen the size of it now it's quadrupled. No Fella this Government has made a right pigs ear of it. Good Has for Covid The UK had the worse death rate in Europe. This Government is incompetent the quicker we get rid the Better. The EU has fiscal rules that you have to meet to remain a member. EVERYBODY that was left in the shit by the financial crisis had to adopt austerity, THERE WAS NO CHOICE. The countries you named were part of the Sovereign Debt Crisis, that is why they nearly went bust... different crisis. neweconomics.org/2022/11/austerity-policies-have-made-european-citizens-3000-a-year-worse-off You are also wrong to say the UK had the worst death rate in Europe. The UK tested far more than any another country (apart from the US)... so surprise surprise Covid appears on more death certificates. When you look at excess death figures we actually did better than France, Germany, Spain and Italy... we were "average" globally. England actually did far better than Scotland, Wales and N.Ireland too lol. There was also NO STANDARD WAY of reporting a Covid death, which make comparisons very inaccurate. There was even a difference in reporting between England and Scotland! Explanation as to why excess deaths reveal the true figures: ourworldindata.org/excess-mortality-covidWorld wide recession my arse. Countries that had lax financial rules were hit the most. Labour were repeatedly warned about the consumer debt bubble, and they failed to do anything. As for Covid, Labour voted for the all Covid spending... so how exactly would the situation have been better now? Labour are going to win, because the Tories are a mess... with their main problem being (1) too long in power (2) pretending they can solve the unsolvable.

Yes Ireland are doing ok, but the cost of living is shockingly high... but Italy and Greece, are you kidding me? lol. Again... they were hit by the Sovereign Debt Crisis and are being artificially held afloat by EU bailout... so yeah startling success stories lol. As for their economies, Italy and Greece are fucked more than we are: Debt - UK 107%, Italy 170%, Greece 225% Unemployment - UK 4.2%, Italy 7.8%, Greece 9.6%
