It's good to have you alongside us in the army of the incurably woke. these loony liberal middle class lefties are like the modern puritans of the 21st century taking al the fun out of life. Seriously , i think europe as a continent is headed for a pretty bad place with all this shite poisoning us that is coming out of america.

In a random match anybody can beat anybody but in the long run there's going to be a big team on the top. Of course , all the old golden rules of football apply as ever. The thing that bothers me though is the german team. One of the rocks of world cup tournaments , as consistent as the sun rising , has just broken.
How bad were they? im still in shock , even more so than the shock i was in when Qatar won the right to host it.

I did a tour along Hadrian's wall a few years ago visiting most of the border castles on the way including Prudhoe castle which was the only one that didn't fall into the hands of the Scots. I made special effort to visit places with a connection to old Longshanks himself. The back and fro was indeed more even than you might think but there's a reason he was called the Hammer of the Scots. I think it's no coincidence that his name can be translated as small child. I'm hoping his days are numbered. England should beat Senegal but as I constantly remind people ''never underestimate England's ability to screw it up''. Hopefully Senegal play an open game which will play to our strength rather than a defensive game which exploits our weaknesses. Maybe Japan have another upset in them and USA at their best can beat a poor Netherlands. longshanks was a failure , because ultimately he failed to conquer the whole of scotland and incorporate us into his kingdom. Scotlands gereat strength was our mountainous landscape. Military historians call scotland the afghanistan of north west europe , and prior to Wades roads and modern technology much of our country was simply beyond the ability of invading armies to control.
Englands great weakness to me is southgates timidity. If 300 grand a week premier league players cant comfortably beat an african team who are without their best player then they should forget playing international football.
I like japan. They look good. The netherlands are poor , but england made the yanks look good in the group stage. I suppose anything can happen on the day though.
Poor old Eddy One died on the job and left his effeminate son to take over. I visited the priory at Lanercost where he recovered from illness in 1306 before his final battle against the Scots. We did a better job than the Romans though and pushed the border North of their wall. |

Consistently bad since it is the second time in a row that they couldn't get out of the group stage. Where is the team that beat Brazil 7-1? |

Plenty of drama yesterday as Lukaku threatened to save Belgium only to embarrassingly not deliver.
Germany and Spain, Germany starts just needing to beat Costa Rica and the match goes back and forth before they gain control yet by then Japan have taken the lead with a dodgy looking winning goal delivered by VAR.
That VAR sanctioned goal is still being debated on social media.........
Fine margins, Germany will be back, Belgium will take a bit longer.
