Croatia v Belgium is going to be an interesting match up this afternoon. Can the perennial underachievers put on a good show against the below the radar over achievers or will their weaknesses and aging team be exposed by the so far impressive World Cup runners up? Especially as I have Belgium in the family sweepstake and Mrs K has Qatar and doesn't want to see Canada get beaten in the parallel match leaving her with the worst team payout. On a footballing front more interested to see if Germany can squeak through this evening I shall be rooting hard for Germany tonight but their recent poor results in World Cups doesn't give me great confidence. Something has gone seriously wrong with German football and I suspect it has been the relative shortage of international players in their domestic leagues. The opposite effect seems to be evident in England's improved results in recent international competitions. If English players have to work harder to get a place in the top Premier teams that can only be a good thing IMO. |

But if something I was a fan of were staged in some Islamic shithole and I were offered an opportunity to go that didn’t bugger my wallet then yes, I would go, if only to piss off the woke demanding I didnt

I'm watching Germany.
Getting knocked out at the group stage twice in a row is such a disastrous result for the four time winners I just have to believe they will do it against Costa Rica.
If they can't, I want to see it with my own eyes.
