Well yes but when you can't beat a nation who think football is a game played almost entirely with their hands and soccer is for girls you have to be a little disappointed.

Dont forget , the yanks dont even call it fitba , but "soccer". Still apparently they were impressed when your lot took the knee . Must of thought you were doing what your politicians do to their political elite , and genuflecting to them.

Uruguay were awful. Anyway in terms of matches that's the half way point of this World Cup Get a grip steve. Uruguay arent a bad team , but when you are relying on 35 year olds to score goals , you can see the team is getting on abit in years.
Are you a football fan ? This is normal bread and butter stuff of group stages , boring games where they grind out results to qualify .
Cant all be England versus the latest minnow whipping boys every group game can it?
Portugal are a quality team , although without a doubt that penalty was extremely harsh.

Wales tonight. I don't expect a masterclass from England that's for sure. Our midfield was non-existent against the US and was totally overrun. Tactical fuck up that wasn't even rectified in-game.

Yes, if England show the same lack of ideas and slow movement of the ball against Wales as they did against the better team USA I shall begin to give up all hope. It's a shame the USA game is on at the same time as that's going to be the more interesting game. I think I will watch the USA game on the TV and have the England game on the laptop with the sound down. |

So thanks for drawing attention to them, I've only got to wait 15 mins now.  I might have been forced to do something productive with my afternoon if you hadn't brought it up. |

Well the two games are equal on goals scored but I might switch to the Ecuador Senegal game for the second half since NL are cruising now they are ahead.
