I have no words
Hamza Tosspot should go out and fucking hang himself
Not hang his head in shame FUCKING HANG HIMSELF FROM A LAMP POST
The man featured in this BBC News item is white, 37, has no visble facial tattoos, has a job working fifty hours a week in a fish and chip shop and has nowhere to call home
Now I'm sorry but when I was a schoolkid it was a fucking given that anyone, no matter how meagre their take home pay from a full time job, could expect to have somewhere found for them to live. The feckless idle, the drug wasters, a whole load of others could go whistle but if you were holding down a bloody job then you deserved fucking respect and rightly so, and a council place no matter how humble was part of the deal.
Well Hamza and his fucking SNP are well fucked on this score arent they
I don't care of he's frying fucking mars bars it is not unbelieveable that a bloke who OWNS a fish and chip shop would not as a matter of routine over seven days put in a fifty hour week and it stands to reason in my thinking that an employee at such an establishment that opens for lunchtime as well as evening and night time take away could easily put in fifty hours over the course of a week, and i don't know what that is in wonga but it bloody well ought to be enough to be aboe to afford somewhere.
The council says because he is not unemployed and becaue he os not a smackhead there is fuck all they can do for him

It really is scary. I hear this so much that those who do a lot of work seem to be in many cases really badly off. I see he made the classic mistake, which was to attempt to reproduce without taking the proper precautions. He managed it once, but after that the woman seems to have gone apeshit for some reason and gave up on it. Maybe she just used him to get pregnant, but he would have hoped that two adults would be enough to provide a roof over the head, but one income may not. Perhaps he pays maintenance as well. I bet she is not homeless cos she has a child.

" However, as the report notes, other changes which would make a significant difference are not within the powers of the Scottish government. "The UK government should heed the calls from Crisis to increase Housing Benefit and other working age benefits. It is also concerning that another Local Housing Allowance freeze is on the horizon."
to be fair though , housing crises and homelessness seems to be a growing problem across Europe , with ireland especially being badly hit .

Yes but that is because instead of a happy family with one child sharing a place, you get one flat, one homeless and chances are that baby with be taken into "care" sic at some point as well.

This man is at the back of the queue because he is an able-bodied single male who is employed and not drug addicted. Priority in public housing is given to women and children, is it not?

Priority in public housing is given to women and children. If you're a man, and especially an able-bodied employed man, there is probably a very long wait.

Right, so if you don't want to be made homeless then you as a man would be better off not chancing it with a woman like that or she could easily leave you in the lurch. This therefore creates a housing shortage and lack of babies creates a deficit in the new workers to build more of them. A lot of women would try and patch things up instead if the alternative was she would be out on the street. You get a lot of selfish people in this life.

I'm not sure that staying in a bad relationship for the sake of housing is ideal, either. We used to marry and then have children. Nowadays marriage seems less popular, so people partner up and break up equally casually. It must be a nightmare housing problem.

The moment she phones the authorities and claims the man is abusing her, is the moment the authorities often go in with the end result that he could get in trouble and the kid could be taken off them. Once their process is in motion it can be irreversible, whereas if this did not happen she might cool down by the following day and work it out. More than likely the reason marriages held together in the past was the man was the head of the household and kept the roof over their head whilst the woman brought up the child, so both were in their element. They were not stepping on each other's toes, as each had their own area of responsibility.
It's a shame we live in such a dysfunctional country where it take two incomes just to afford a flat ten stories up compared to one income for a house and two cars in the garage with a garden for the children to play in. Like I was saying before, it is a scary thing. It might be the man at the chippy today, but tomorrow the blight might spread to far more Brits.

It already has. Many UK nurses, essential workers, are having to go to food banks. It's a disgrace. www.theguardian.com/business/2023/jan/08/nhs-trusts-hospitals-food-banks-for-staff-nurses

It's a disgrace. www.theguardian.com/business/2023/jan/08/nhs-trusts-hospitals-food-banks-for-staff-nursesIt's entering into a vicious circle where the more people like this guy, the more the need for carers and nurses and we as a nation have to pay so much for that part of the budget and it forever needs more money. So you have the two sides of the economy. The one side is producing all the stuff we buy like houses and food and so on, and then there is this bloated service sector.
What has amazed me is the total uselessness of the people who work on the productive side of the economy, like the guys who built the Post Office IT system. I bet all the IT systems have bugs in them and that is just another point of failure. If we can't do quality work then we just can't generate the required national income to live comfortably.
I was listening to a professor earlier about health and he was saying stress is a major factor in almost every common disease. The other major factor was the type of crap food we eat. Too much carbohydrate. We need to eat meat like the stone age man did or our cells screw up.
