Well they were at least honest enough to mention the biggest problem for PFIs i.e. __"Then in 2008, this entire charade hit a major problem. The near-collapse of our banks meant that private sector funding for PFI suddenly dried up. Banks were no longer willing to provide the debt finance essential to all PFI deals. Scores of projects were threatened with the axe."__ But even then in their usual deceptive way they failed to address the economic problems caused by 2008 on existing PFIs. And like all anti-New Labour sources they ignored two major ingredients in the equation. i.e. the problem of government building plans that never come in on time or on cost. And the true cost of PFIs, which could be found by subtracting the estimated non-PFI costs from the actual PFI costs. Or the other way around.
