I know i took a course that allows me to charge a court £500 a day to present scientific and mathematical facts and figures to a jury but come on you can do better than this.

What i have stated is nothing more than the report author’s own words, which is that they quite categorically say in the report that caution is necessary when making comparisons between this report and the one published last year for two reasons, the first being that one covers 12 months and the other only nine, the second being tbe authors statement that reporting of crime is less.

They clearly believe less people bother to report crime

Anecdotally i can fully understand why this might be the case.

My first experience of reporting a car being broken into, in 77, resulted in plod rocking up dusting for prints, finding the villain’s id and nabbing him as he tried to fence kit including my car radio. My second resulted in four rather bored plod (until my call came) legging it across cathays park and nicking the shitbag red handed trying to screwdriver my steering lock.

In stark contrast the last occasion, about 2016, when a successful burglar left his prints all over surfaces on the car, plod did fuck all, victim support sent me a tea and sympathy letter and crime log number and the police and crime twat (nominated by labour) actually replied to my complaint saying SOCO had more important things to do than take fingerprint evidence left at car thefts. With an attitude like that i think they deserve a callout to the satanic ritual gone wrong that led to his unfortunate accidental strangulation and i’d be delighted to hire the necessary goat slaughterers ….

You claim crime has reduced. Over what period and by comparison to exactly which official figures. Be specific. Supply links.
