When it is backed up by provable facts or by quotes in quotation marks. My objection to papers like the Mail and the Express is not what they report, it is the surrounding and often biased, insinuation and or comments. I think all news outlets do that in the main. Provable facts is a strange concept as one is digesting a 'fact' just in the reporting and how does one verify something reported other than seeking other reports and the two are indeed other reports. I do agree however that there is much misquoting which I find very annoying. I think Jeremy Corbyn was misquoted quite often although when he was not it still raised concerns. The major worry is, and this seems to be rampant on the left, is that misquoting is fair game if it defeats anyone on the RW. I have been taking notice of political comments since around the mid 1950s, and have been very aware of the Conservative trait to use insults, insinuations and denigration as a major plank of their political comments against opposition politicians and policies. This forum has been inundated with such by Righties on this forum, so much so that I had a spell of exposing it. |

With regards to Crash Gordons disastrous reign, I don't feel that you can blame the 'International Financial Meltdown' (  ) for Crash Gordons introduction of a financial regulatory system of the Banks that failed, the lax lending criteria that produced the ridiculous house price boom (and subsequent crash) and the disaster that was PFI. Good try though I have asked other slothful thinkers like yourself, what the UK economy would have looked like in 2008 if there had not been an international financial meltdown. Such thinking is blocked by a sickening need to denigrate Brown. Brown had every right to expect Bankers to be educated enough to make positive business decisions in running their banks. PFI financing went down the plughole with the meltdown. Your ingrained political bigotry is quite sickening. But it is no doubt too late to expect you to grow up. |

The problem is that too many people post their OPINION of Blair as if it were the truth, when it should in fact be made clear that it is just their opinion. I only refer to anyone as a liar when they post a lie either to me or about me. If your post is anti-Semitic in any way, then I will refer to you as being anti-Semitic. As a politician to be admired I place Brown and Alistair Darling before Blair. I do think of srb as an extremist, so extreme that he attacks the moderate Left and refuses to vote for moderation. Even so, I modified my comment from 'extremist' to 'hard Left' which I then used in all my posts to him thereafter. If you want to comment I suggest you keep up with the facts. |
