After all, illegal war is one of the worst crimes of all, and under the UN Charter and Article 1 of the North Atlantic Treaty, there was no legal basis to invade Iraq in 2003 and overthrow the government.

End off There was a time when Inquiries and suchlike would have been respected as getting to the bottom of things but since Macpherson the whole issue is clouded by assumptions and conclusions not actually based on the evidence upturned. So an Inquiry finding nothing wrong with Blair is just an exercise in producing so much bumph. To be clear in terms of people hated I would think Blair is top of the list for most British people, he is certainly up there on mine. |

We do not agree often, but on this one we do. The idea that Starmer has ever been working class is mythical bullshit that his supporters like to tell us and themselves. Starmer has been insulated from the real working class for most of his life and it clearly started in his school days. I know lots of genuinely working class people, most of whom don't even take home that much a year, and none of whom could afford to shell out that much on a private education for their kids.
