Just because you have no logical argument is no excuse for you to start lying about me. I NEVER make excuses for Blair. Your misguided opinion on Blair is shared by many ill informed people. Why is it misguided and ill informed?
FACT
Blair stated the reason for going to war with Iraq they had WMD, and on that basis we went to war.
FACT There were never any WMD found at the time, or since.
So why exactly do you think we have been misguided and ill informed about a war mongering liar?
1, Fact, Blair was misinformed by the intelligence agency that Saddam did have WMD, even so, the reason for the invasion was based upon the UN Res, 1441. (Try reading it.) 2, The above answers your hindsight comment. Even so your comment is not entirely correct. The ISG found 53 WMD missiles that were A) out of date and B) insufficient to pose a threat even if they were brand new. I have posted this fact a number of times, but I bet you do not know why that find was significant. Using the exaggerated term "warmongering" about Blair does your sincerity no good at all.

It seems you have hit the nail on the head Wapentake. It seems that you are just as daft. Insulting people or calling them names never wins any arguments or debates. If it did, all I would have to do to win the argument is address you as Hugh Janus of Belle End. But alas such childishness wins no debates, so rest assured I am not actually addressing you as Hugh Janus of Belle End.

More lies by a misguided ill informed Righty, strange how Righties are prone to posting lies and denigration, its as though its in their DNA. If we took any notice to you (which thankfully we don't) you'd have us all believe that you are the only one on the forum who speaks the truth .... LOL Exposing the lies and the insinuated lies about Blair and New Labour is a pleasure. For me to continue to enjoy that pleasure requires people like yourself to continue to post untruths about Blair and or New Labour.

I think we should start awarding shitehoods - to the great and powerful who have been particularly shite in high office.
Liz Truss should get one. Also Kwasi Kwarteng. Boris Johnson of course. And Diane Abbot. Chris Grayling. Mat Hancock. Nick Clegg. Peter Mandelson. Tony Blair. John Major.
And the only House they should be sitting in is the crap house.

Perhaps we should give Honorary "shitehoods" to the likes of the epic failure of Labour leaders such as Corbyn, at least Corbyn's would be an honest unbiased award.

The Blair years 1997 - 2007 and in the run-up to the financial crisis and world recession were good years, and those years were the last time everything was good in this country.
Things were so good that the term "Cool Brittania" emerged, of a country doing very well thank you, all public services improved, particularly our NHS and education, growth was good, inflation good, unemployment low, low interest rates, living standards rose.
People said that it was almost too good to be true, but then soon after Gordon took over, along came the world wide financial crisis and the rest is history.
