He often accuses those who disagree with him of being liars whist lying about them himself, eg calling you a righty or me far left. He also automatically assumes that his opinions are actual facts, whilst anyone disagreeing with them is merely spouting opinions, as if opinions have no place in political discourse. Hitler and Stalin might have thought the latter but no true democrat does. Another part of his arsenal is to label anyone who disagrees with him as being childish or immature, or biased, or all of those things. It is the same thing all the time. He seems incapable of disagreeing respectfully. Yet like his hero Blair, from whose fundament the sun doth shine in the gospel according to see 2, he seems to succeed on this forum in uniting both left and right against him. He seems to think we are all liars and extremists, or at least idiots. By more moderate, what you actually mean without even knowing it, is more establishmentarian, more elitist and more right wing. It is people like me who are the moderate ones. |
