No, it is not a fact it is just your opinion. If you knew it was a fact you would be able to prove it, and you can't. No, it is fact, read the original post. We are getting very bored with people turning up on the internet lying on behalf of psychopaths. I have read the OP, it is about the unprovable OPINION of a right-wing Scottish politician. Who is out to cause trouble for the Labour Party and its New Labour influenced approach to politics. That's why his trouble making opinion has been expressed on the run up to an election. If it was a provable fact that Blair had deliberately misled the country into war he would have been hung drawn and quartered by now. The UK armed forces asked the Blair government for confirmation that an invasion of Iraq was legal, they were given that legal confirmation. I am getting quite bored by people who are so easily misled by unprovable claims and insinuations. |

I have read it, and I know that Annan (the boy scout) secretary who did not have the authority to overrule the Security Council, distorted the "final opportunity" into you need a second resolution. Blair talked Bush into going for a second resolution only to find France threatening to Veto such. The Secretaries wish for a second resolution was not available, so the Final Opportunity stood. And Saddam failed to take heed. So 'final opportunity' was code for invasion and regime change? - that is a bit of a stretch if you don't mind me saying..  I wouldn't mind you posting the alternative, bearing in mind that about a dozen UN resolutions over the years requiring Saddam to comply with the Ceasefire Agreement, and the 12 years of refusing to fully comply along with the failed use of sanctions. The 'excuse' (that's my word) for the invasion was about turning Iraq into a democracy. Which they did. I take it that you do understand the term "FINAL OPPORTUNITY." To me it states the case of --- No More Opportunities --- end of. |

The only thing relevant that post the Bush Blair expedition is the question Following that was the UK and it’s people in a safer position than before the now discredited WMD’s and their 45 minute deployment Were relations with the people of the Middle East more cordial Were the people of Iraq in a better place and following the crushing of the Ba’ath party that left the power vacuum which led to Islamic state and Iraq still in turmoil. If you answer yes to all those see2 you are living a fantasy that Bliar wasn’t along with Bush responsible because in any sane world the answer to each is no. |
