Using oil byproducts to surface roads is a great way to lock up carbon. Burning it in car engines is not. Good point.

It would not be in the news on a daily basis if it were not for the protests. The Stop Oil activities and the chaos they’re causing wouldn’t be news items. But I doubt the coverage of climate change, global warming, pollution, etc would be any less — it wasn’t before these misguided, single focus, radicalised exhibitionists started on their own ego trips. The problem is that now the positives of reducing fossil fuel reduction are way down the news agenda after coverage of M25 road closures and resulting claimed deaths and injuries… Radicalised. 😊

W can make meat substitutes which really replace the protein found in meat with many of the failings of meat eating. However, you can't beat a plywood telly or car body glued together with glue mad from flour. Nice one.

Fourth day in a row now, the people are more frustrated and angry at the police than they are the Eco mob, why are we funding the police these public servants with tax payers money when it is clear they aren't serving the people.

That will be a no then. So, we had better think of other ways of making sure you have time to think about it. You really need to make it clear what you are saying, because a lot of what you print is garbled. Which I did, it isn't my fault that you have no understanding of the concept you are trying to produce, so, now we have to resort to other means to make sure you learn to think about it, before more people are injured or allegedly killed by your actions and or words like any zealot who have lost any control in which direction they are heading.

Interesting, I have done nothing to injure or kill anyone.

The police haven't sorted it, they've begged them to stop along with more influential people, the protesters haven't stopped because they are afraid of the police and courts, they've eventually got a prang of conscience. I hope the police aren't taking any credit for this.

I cannot see what difference it makes who wants to take the credit, it made no sense, even if you take into account the UK produces less than 1% of the world's pollution.

Have you seen the kip of most of these protesters, they aren't playing with a full deck, one of them was being interviewed on Sky and was like a deranged lunatic, these people aren't sensible level headed people, who would go about protesting in a civilized way, they are attention seeking, bored, people who would generally go through life unnoticed, and rightly so.

It takes into account only the CO2 produced in the UK and doesn't include the emissions from the products we import. Even ignoring CO2 from imports the UK is still ranked at 15th in the list of the worst polluters. If you calculate CO2 emissions per capita we creep up to 11th and if you include historic emissions we leap up to 5th.

Personally, I would say we have done a fair job of it over the decades, not saying there isn't room for more looking after our own eco-system. Such as river pollution and lack of infrastructure caused by over population, how that came about work it out for yourselves.
