1967. Equal rights would be a start. When did the Israelis have equal rights in that Arab dominated part of the world? When did we change the subject?

Not once, not ever, have the Israelis offered to hand back The West Bank, the Gaza Strip, or any other STOLEN land such as East Jerusalem or The Golan Heights in order to create an independent Palestine. The Palestinians have never seen any offer by Israel of an independent, sovereign Palestine, and from where I am sitting it seems evident to me that Israels secret agenda is to make life in these occupied territories as difficult and as intolerable as possible, they are indulging in ethnic cleansing. The Israeli settlers are stealing more and more land in The West Bank, they often begin by warning Arabs to move out, then comes the pot shots at Arab families, then comes the cutting of electricity cables and often they fill water wells with rocks and sand. The same ethnic cleansing has been going on for years in East Jerusalem, where property laws are brought in favouring Jewish citizens and detremental to Arabs. The Israelis have never been serious about a two state solution, they appear happy with the stream of emigration of Palestinians to start a new life somewhere else due to poverty, deprevation and from been treated as second class citizens. Israel accepted the Two State solution in 1948, the Arabs sent four armies from four Arab countries in order to eliminate Israel. Having lost the war to eliminate Israel the Arabs resorted to years of terrorist suicide bombers and such like plus two more wars in an attempt to annihilate Israel. It is very clear that the Palestinian Arabs are the architects of their own distress. A two state solution in their land with limited rights for the original ocuupants.

That is what the Palestinians were offered in 2000 and Arafat refused. They have never been offered equal rights. They were offered their own country - what rights they had in that country was up to them to decide. Although as they seem to be keen on electing islamic groups like Hamas then obviously any sort of rights were going to be in short supply. In Gaza women for instance are banned from travelling alone, they must be accompanied by a man. But if that is the society they want I dont see what business it is of anyone else to interfere.

You know that is not true and can never have been true, they were forcibly removed from their homelands and forced to live in refugee camps where some of them still live.

Why have they a special refugee status, why are they not allowed to seek refuge from tyranny in neighbouring lands as everyone else is obliged to do. Just a thought what would you do with the illegal migrants/settlers in the West Bank?

Hamas do not want peace, you can't make money from peace, while these Hamas leaders live in the lap of luxury they keep their people in poverty, it serves their purpose, having a peaceful two state democracy does not suit Hamas agenda.
They don't want a democracy were people can have a choice who leads them, they can have their own voices, do their own thing, Hamas are control freaks and people both sides must live in fear, once Hamas has gone both sides Palestine and the Israeli people will relish their new found freedoms.

You obviously thing there is nothing to criticise Israel for... I wouldn't say that, I just don't agree with your endless, unbalanced criticism and question your motivation for it.

Nobody has said Hamas wants peace but I am sure the individuals that make up the terrorists do not wants to be terrorists. It is up to others to make the peace and not encourage terrorism on both sides.

They 'do not want to be terrorists'?
Well here's a idea ........ don't be a Terrorist.
If they really wanted peace the path has been laid out for them, if they don't take it then they remain ........... Terrorists.

That still does not explain why refugees in 'Palestine' have a different and special category even when many of the the camps are in Lebanon, Syria and Jordan. If we had kept Ugandan Asians in camps pending a right of return would that have been acceptable?

Yes, I had to look twice at that claim. Seems that some believe that people become terrorists against their will..
