Sorry I don't understand. You said What stop migrants coming is permission to come. I made the point that permission to come, or lack of it, does not seem to be a block on coming. If we withdrew all permission would the numbers of those without permission increase. I would say undoubtedly. Nope, still don't get it. The government decide who can work here and under what terms. Who is this international body that tells us how many legal migrants to take?

Oh it never makes sense, but I love it anyway. That sounds kinda, perverse. Not that I'm calling you a pervert ZG, perish the thought. I'll always have a soft spot for you Red, like a favourite pet. Changing the subject (sort of) have you still got your dog? I really miss mine, but Mrs Z says no to another one. 🙁

Well you are confused in that you seem to really believe you know what my views are - and yet you are always wrong. I'm not talking about your views. I am talking about your determination not to engage with mine. I do not believe you don't understand my point, I think you are avoiding it by using stupid comment. How can I engage with someone who keeps misrepresenting what I say?. Ever since this forum started and for years on the old forum I have argued against mass immigration for the simple reason that it brings no economic benefit. If you wish to believe I have said something else then feel free.

I came into our lounge the other day in the dark and a pair of Mrs Z's furry black boots were by the corner of the sofa. I caught a glimpsed them and said " What you doing down there boy"

Illegals arrive without permission and it is with a distinct difficulty that they can be removed as the ongoing farce illustrates only too clearly.

I said you were conflating illegal and legal and you said you weren't. Quote: You are conflating legal and illegal migrants again. We can stop another 750,000 legal migrants coming, we struggle to stop 30,000 illegal migrants coming. The two are entirely different. I refuse to discuss both together as their behaviour and treatment are worlds apart.

Not at that point in the discussion but you raised the issue of withdrawing permission, in other words reducing or stopping legal migration, I said that would only create a greater number of those arriving without permission i.e. illegal migrants. If we wish to control migration we have to control the whole caboodle. What you refuse to discuss is neither here nor there as 'immigration' is a problem irrespective of how they arrive.

There are not enough houses for the people already living here. You cannot possibly be unaware of that. So, you are just not going to stop people coming and you want to build more houses for them See? It's not rocket surgery to work out. No. I'm not going to stop anything. The government can stop people coming and still build enough houses for people already here. That slow enough for you
Are you going to stop people coming or are you relying on me to do it?

The numbers are vastly different, the results are vastly different. Its a ridiculous premise. Not to mention why one would be dependent on the other. Why haven't we had 750,000 illegals as well as 750,000 invited to live here.

The authoritarianism over what is allowed to be discussed gets tiring, just as their hypocrisy, double-standards and lies gets boring. If they want the platform exclusively to themselves then they should build their own echo-chambers.

The former needs to come before the latter to avoid the large incentive to 'forget' halfway through (again). When / if we get immigration under control (and permanantly), we can start sensibly talking about giant housing projects. At the moment such talk is like ten carts before one horse.
