There does not appear to be very much polling in The Netherlands on the question of the European Union, probably because been a founding member of the organisation, most people simply regard membership as an accepted part of Dutch life.
An extensive poll conducted in 2020 by an organisation called "Eenvandaag" showed 59% opposed to leaving, and 33% in favour.
The lunatic far right party of Geert Wilders would have won a majority if most Dutch people were in favour of leaving the European Union, but as it is the Party For Freedom did not even get 25% of the seats in Parliament, therefore Wilders has no democratic mandate, and there is zero chance of a Dutch referendum.

Not necessarily, Wilders was not the only party on the Right although doubt at this moment if they have the numbers.
Some say it will take months to form a govt, what does this say about PR?

Some Dutch people are irritated by that their whole country is called by foreigners as Holland which is only two of the twelve provinces. Most people however don't care.
As for the PVV-victory now they got 24% of the vote. If they are sidelined it means next time they'll get 35% or more of the votes. If they are allowed to govern then most likely the realities of government will diminish their support. If you think you can wish them away you are in for disappointment.

That's the same as saying if the British people were in favour of leaving the EU they would have voted for UKIP (12.6% , 1 seat) in 2015 .

You know full well that opinion polls are worthless, any result can be achieved with the right questions. What is more interesting is how they actually feel day in day out, with a cost of living crisis, a currency they have no control over, high immigration, sovereignty transferred to an organisation the man on the street has no way of influencing, and if you were to talk about such things with them you might not get the starry-eyed pro EU response you'd hope for. And that's without talking about Islamist terrorism of the sort which killed Theo Van Gogh. Geert Wilders is a product of Dutch liberalism. You cannot be a liberal and tolerate theocratic political terrorists. He is not far right. He is however still hurting from the murders of friends of his at the hands of theocratic political extremists and the death threats to himself, and his friend Ayaan Hirsi Ali. She left the Netherlands, because it had become unsafe. They were once both MPs for the VVD, the Dutch Liberal Party. The mentor of Geert Wilders was Friz Bolkstein. He was foreign secretary to the Liberal government of the 1990's. If you want to criticise, at least learn who he is and what he is actually saying, then formulate an argument against his proposals. He is a response to the rise of theocratic political Islamic fundamentalism. He is a reaction against those who want to turn his country into a caliphate. I'm not saying that he's right or wrong, I'm saying that there are reasons why he is what he is, and the murder of Theo Van Gogh affected him.
