We are the most densely populated country in Europe - if it's not 'near them' where is this building supposed to go?. You also said before it's not a good idea to push people into areas where the chance of work is almost zero, so by definition you want to build near the existing infrastructure and housing. Of course the easy answer is to scrap the Town and Country Planning Act, 1947 that is at the root cause of our housing shortage today. Only 2% of England is built on. Only 14% is urban (As in gardens, football pitches, roads, carparks etc. ) And that total includes densely built areas like London. There are vast areas of crop fields that are overlooked by almost no one, perhaps a distant farm house. (8.7% is developed use and 91% agricultural, if that's an easier number to work with) In England, excluding London I believe built up areas are about 11% of the area. Included in that are Residential gardens being 4.9%. 11% is mountain and moorland where very few people wish to live and approx 60% is arable and 13% forest. Greater London is slightly greater than 1%. Many in the country feel like rats in a trap and houses are becoming smaller with people becoming taller. We are already in the throes of social problems in part due to overcrowding. It is just plain wrong to continue this process in any way.

Be interesting to see if the kids have any coherent plan, seen nothing so far beyond moaning about the adult decisions. What decisions ? Ihaven’t seen a coherent plan from the ‘ adults ‘ either. Ive already told you that I believe that any migrant entering the UK via criminal gang traffickers should be denied UK citizenship and traffickers should be seen as a threat to UK security. All I see from the caring virtue signallers is moaning tbh. And do what with them. The traffickers are already seen as criminals, but they don't come across the channel. Half cooked as usual.

We both want further immigration stopped, England is full. I am talking about building enough homes for those already here.

That is where we digress, I was just providing greater context on your figures which give the impression that 98% of land is available for building new homes, it is not. EDIT Just out of curiosity why should we build houses for those who have arrived illegally and have either been refused asylum or never claimed? It is a bit like asking us to provide a room for someone who is living in our house and has no right to be there.

So house building will need to be increased indefinitely.

They don't tell you from whence they came and other countries wont take them without proof of citizenship.

They don't tell you from whence they came and other countries wont take them without proof of citizenship. Then we are left with a group of stateless criminals without a future . That should be enough to deter future illegal migrants using criminal traffickers.

Especially considering you (we) do have a choice and continuing on this path instead requires defying the expressed wishes of the population in a supposed democracy. As clearly measurable and clearly stated in most manifestos of winning and losing parties for the past 60 years. Some of the most recent being tens of thousands which has been transformed in to hundreds of thousands when implemented.

Cooperation with other countries to deter or reduce immigration just hasn’t worked . The next step should be to reduce the incentive to enter the UK .
