I remember when Boris was removed after a concerted campaign by the Establishment/Left - and Sunak was installed as PM despite no one having voted for him as PM and none of the Tory party membership either (they voted for Truss) - it was greeted by the likes of the BBC as "the adults returning to the room". So Boris was the "populist" and twats like Sunak were the adults. And I see the same characterisation is being used for the removal of Braverman and the recall of Cameron.
It occurs to me that the term "adult" is being used to mean the Establishment and the term "populist" means children who don't know any better. So those who voted for Brexit are children and the people who have been installed to enforce the will of the Establishment are the adults. So the likes of Priti Patel, Dominic Raab, Boris and Liz Truss have been removed and replaced with Cameron, who doesn't even have any voice in Parliament and a person like Sunak who was categorically rejected as PM in a vote of Tory members.
Well I spit on the "adults". Sunak is fucking useless and has just sacked the Home Secretary because she said what everyone knows to be true and Cameron was a quitter who was completely unwilling to enforce the vote of the people about Brexit.
How useless can the Tory party get? Are any depths to which it won't sink.

Lefties tend to use language and rhetoric better than right wingers . That’s why I call them out when they gaslight us…. a form of psychological manipulation in which the abuser attempts to sow self-doubt and confusion in their victim's mind. Typically, gaslighters are seeking to gain power and control over the other person, by distorting reality and forcing them to question their own judgment and intuition.

Hopefully, there'll be other rationalisations, perhaps with less fuss, as Sunak clears the decks of ERG types and Braverman-minded upsetters, who seem to be in self-destruct mode...

It is the Sovietisation of the West whereby truth will be outlawed if it is not approved and very soon lies will be the new truth that people will have to utter, or at least not dispute, otherwise the Gulag awaits. I can example an obvious one. The religion of peace.

I think of it as being characterized by (loosely) a personality disorder, or severely stunted emotional growth (ironically, 'child like' thinking) The malady appears as some kind of bizarre, deeply ingrained notion that politics shouldn't contain genuine disagreement. If there is a real disagreement (what they call ' division') somebody is breaking the rules of political discourse, potentially breaking the system and 'being divisive'. This attitude seems to be copied directly from a Soviet handbook. I think it is down to a broken education system or, perhaps, bad diet.

It seems to me that something deep has changed, that the fuel of the left, wokery, socialism in all its guises, transgender, controlling the masses, shows no sign of abating, but is gaining in strength. Indeed todays events in the Tory party show that such are in complete control.
I predict that even when the election comes, the left i include the Tories, will win hands down for more of the same. There will be no resurgence of common sense, of British values, there isnt now, and do you know why, the ordinary person believes in this horse shit. If the electorate was healthy there would be a revolution, there isnt one, and there wont be one.
Those who post on here are older, have life experience, and can see the nonsense. Younger people, the political classes are influenced by social media etc, and cant read, watch Cheryl Cole videos, watch eastenders and watch the BBC.

Sunak, despite his faults is a better bet than Truss, so hardly any excuse for criticism there. If not the return of the adults then certainly the return of the people more adult in comparison. Braverman might have said the right thing but, given the state in Gaza at the moment, she said it at the wrong time. Cameron might yet be prove to have been right all along.

The political winners on propaganda, lies and insinuations is without doubt the Conservatives. Aided and abetted of course by the Tory press. There was so much of it going on on this forum I made a point of pointing it out for a while, in the quite recent past.

It's pretty intractable.
For instance, See2 seems unable to visualise that, as he doesn't support the conservative party and isn't a conservative, it would not be normally expected that he supports the leadership Conservatives select.
As far as he is concerned, it would better if every political party were controlled by people with his opinions. It's a serious imagination problem.

TBH very few take any notice of what you point out .

The establishment both inside and outside the party poured buckets of shit over us without let up, calling us trots, commies, antisemites, immature, sinister, anything bad they could think of to undermine us. And when the establishment's man Starmer successfully fooled enough members to gain control of the party, the Blairite establishmentarians in the party crowed about how the adults were back in charge. As did elements in the media. The establishment does not tolerate anyone who is not one of their own, whether they be of the right or the left.
