Ask the Nurses and the Civil Servants for a start, while the private sector had their own version of austerity. Look at the amount of savings that were reduced in value year on year, not a problem for the very rich but very much a problem for many pensioners.

Tories warned a new revolt is brewing as voters fed up with 'EU spokesman' David Cameron
linkThe Tories are in crisis, so what do the Tories do, bring back Cameron, him and Osborne were loathed, it's like Sunak is thinking of what to do next to make the Tories even less popular.

That is what happens once you become a law unto yourself, you might think they learnt that from the last labour government, but I guess its carry on regardless.

"David Cameron is marking his return to frontline politics by saying he wants to unlock billions of dollars for foreign aid over the next decade, as part of a “moral mission” to help the world’s poorest people. In a remarkable change of tone for a government that closed the Department for International Development and slashed the foreign aid budget, the former prime minister is to say he wants to push for the restoration of aid’s status in British foreign policy." www.theguardian.com/global-development/2023/nov/18/david-cameron-wants-to-unlock-billions-of-dollars-for-foreign-aid

I thought he was foreign secretary. What do I know, except he's been brought back for a reason that will probably benefit nobody in the UK.

The coward of Brexit who thought he would win, when he lost resigned like a spoilt child having a tantrum and left others to clear up his mess. What a great thing to have on your CV Rishi must have been blinded by it.

The way the Government is throwing our money at foreigners it will be us that are the poorest people.

I thought he was home secretary not Prime minister. Would foreign aid be part of the foreign secretary's brief? The amount would be the Chancellor's decision. What it is spent on is the Foreign Secretary's responsibility. Every minister wants more money for their department. This is not a new thing!

I see today that Cameron, having sneaked in by the back door and avoiding being elected, has started his campaign,
Britain needs closer ties with the European Union and should work more closely with Brussels on international and defence policy, David Cameron has said.
The Foreign Secretary called the bloc “a friend, a neighbour and partner” as he hailed support for Ukraine as an example of cooperation between the Government and Brussels.
He is also now telling the Israelis how to run their affairs,
“When I met the Israeli president, prime minister and others, I stressed over and over again that they must abide by international humanitarian law, that the number of casualties [is] too high and they have to have that at the top of their minds.”
We are being stitched up like kippers with this Government, who are they going to bring in next, Neil Hamilton?
