Veterans have been told not to wear their medals on the way to Remembrance Day services across the country, as a retired British Army officer has laid bare the reality of Britain ahead of Armistice Day. Every right to wear them but the reality is this is nothing new,when was the last time you saw someone in the military not at some ceremony or other in public wearing uniform? It’s not happened since they were targeted years ago and I remember a mate who had done more than a few tours in NI and he was stationed in Germany and they were warned that they were a target by the distinctive reg plates on their personal vehicles.
Sad state of affairs.

Let’s face it , todays lefties would hate WW1&2 veterans if they knew them.
They would see them as sexist, misogynistic, racist,homophobic, transphobic xenophobes.
They don’t care if Hamas sympathisers wreck the day of recognition of a bunch of men they hate anyway.

Sad state of affairs. We used to have 'BFG' (British Forces Germany) number plates in Germany. They were very distinctive black pressed metal with white letters, as below.  However, when the IRA started fucking about in Belgium, Holland and Germany, this was around 1985/6 I think, the traditional black and white BFG plates were replaced with normal UK plates on R/H drive cars, and German civilian plates on L/H drive cars. We also wore civilian jackets over uniform when driving from married quarters to barracks and walking out in uniform was banned. But tbh, it didn't make a lot of difference because whether in uniform or civvies, you can tell a soldier a mile off. |

I don't think it is legal to wave Hamas flags though whether that is enforced is another matter. Medal wearers should mostly be ok, the football lads alliance will be out looking for a scrap if the marching lot turn violent, tbf it is always a 50/50 to wear models or the union jack or st.georges cross so don't really see the need for advice. Two big London football matches on Sunday too. |

The utterly pathetic and shamefull article states that "people are afraid to wear the poppy in London", what absolute garbbage. If there is any disturbances or trouble tomorrow, it will have been caused by people like Suella Braverman, GB News and the arsehole colonel in this article who have done their upmost to divide society, to attempt to pitch the cause for a free Palestine against our annual weekend of remembrance ... shame on them. |
