Two in court charged with Terrorism Act offences over 'support for Hamas'
A student has denied encouraging support for Hamas just a day after the group's militants entered Israel. Hanin Barghouti, 22, is accused of a single count of expressing an "opinion or belief" in support of the banned organisation on October 8. Prosecutor Bridget Fitzpatrick told Westminster Magistrates' Court the alleged offence relates to a four-minute speech which was allegedly "supportive of the actions of Hamas that had taken place in Israel the day before".
"opinion or belief"
Getting bad now.

It's not a matter of "judging all Muslims" it's a matter of actively taking steps to prevent this ever fucking happening again. And I would rather offend you, by taking steps against extremism, than kill and maim hundreds of people by ignoring the problem of Islamist extremists. Because those extremists hide behind ordinary Muslims. If I posted pictures of the death and destruction caused by far right terrorism would it justify me lumping you in with them? Nobody has said we shouldn't take steps against extremists, alienating all Muslims helps, not hinders Muslim extremists IMHO. Go ahead, because I haven't seen anything that is actually far-right and terrorist. Screaming something is far-right doesn't make it so. I also haven't actually seen somebody claim they're far-right. It's just another label the extreme left and the media give to white people who do not conform to the establishment program.

This will include an offence of condoning or glorifying terrorism. The sort of remarks made in recent days should be covered by such laws. But this will also be applied to justifying or glorifying terrorism anywhere, not just in the United Kingdom."The Law of the Land - if you dont like it leave.

Well obviously the government aren't applying the law to themselves, because the most sensible people amongst us, haven't agreed with shooting peaceful protesters, throwing them off their land or on the other hand agreeing with entering peoples homes and shooting people for what their government has encouraged for decades.

Our way of life includes religious tolerance. Seems you need to take your own advice, when in Rome. The thing is, Islam is not just a religion, it is a political and legal system that intends to conquer the world. They see the UK as a country to be conquered. That has to be resisted doesn't it? None of the Muslims I know see the UK as a country to be conquered. If you're uncomfortable with a certain religious or political ideology well I'm afraid that's the price of living in a free society. I'm uncomfortable with the ideology of people like Britain First or the BNP, lots of people are, should we criminalise them?

Nope, the sensible people among us don't buy into left wing, anti-Semitic rhetoric.

Are you seriously saying that any British born person who can trace their history back to the 1800's should leave the country if the disagree with what other people consider the 'norm', seriously? I don't know what these people have said or chanted but when 'free Palestine' and 'from the river to the see' are considered anti-Semitic I have to wonder.

Have you always been blind to anti-Semitism, Wonky?
I'd be careful of that if you don't want to fall foul of these new laws.
