Perhaps it might give an indication of Diane Abbott’s abilities to note that she actually got into Cambridge. That's backward logic. We know roughly what Diane Abbot's capabilities are. Most of us have seen her in extended and meandering conversation. However, I wouldn't describe her as exactly a cretin. She is a 'mid-wit' - , that is, somebody capable of a basic management role and intelligent enough to work out what is in her interests. There is very little of a remarkable nature going on upstairs. It may be true that "We know roughly what Diane Abbot's capabilities are". But do we all recognise what her abilities were, and had to be?
If you suggest appreciating what it takes to get into Cambridge is "backward logic", I suspect not.
She's taken a lot of abuse over her time — some, but not all of it, understandable — and she's remained an MP for, and popular in, the same constituency since 1987. I don't share her politics, but I do sympathise with some of her views...

No. I feel I am doing the logic the correct way around There are many possible explanations a person being credentialed at a top university. However, there really is only one plausible explanation for someone displaying a very moderate intellect for many years. There is a bit of outstanding mystery regarding what exactly has happened to the education system in many western countries. This mystery was highlighted amply by Matt Walshe's recent documentary 'What is a Woman', in which he interviewed several PHDs from top US universities, who appeared to lack even basic basic reasoning skills. |

Personally I can’t see any advantage in hiding a high intellect behind a mask of obtuseness , ignorance and obvious racial bias and I suspect that there is none .

I would never say she is any kind of genius or mastermind, but over the years I have noticed she nearly always outsmarts her political rivals. That of course does not say too much. There was a test not so long ago sat by children of 10, where the MPs also sat it. The ten-year-olds came out on top. My view is the real dunces in all of this are the voters. The politicians use professional firms to determine which candidate they are most likely to win with. They do prodigious research on it.

We should not play their game."..and supporting her decision to send her son to a private school by saying “I'm a West Indian mum and West Indian mums will go to the wall for their children"? goes down well in her constituency. However to me it smacks of Chauncey Gardner or Forrest Gump type drivel spouted as a poke in the eye to white people. Her slack jaw and ponderous way of speaking suggests a slow wit and her poor arithmetic are a thing of much merriment. I think she is cunning and lucky . The fact that she has achieved a degree indicates that , at the time , she had the ability to absorb a body of information and repeat it back. She supports anything or anyone with a grudge against white people , such as that other beacon of intellect Bernie Grant . |

The West Indians have their own culture, so you really need to understand that to understand her. I'd say she is pretty representative of the West Indians. They have a certain way of expressing themselves and it is not all matter of fact, like irony, humour and that kind of thing.
I think I heard the one about the private school before. You think she is being stupid in saying things you think would rub people up the wrong way, but I kind of like her for her honesty. The reason given would the right reason, so fair play to her. The West Indians are pretty liberal and don't envy those with more money. They have a live and let live attitude, but along with that they have a moral side to it as well. It's close to our own religion and was no doubt and influence. Also another plus point is she is never aggressive. She can be playful as well. The MPs I can't stand are the liars. I know when someone is shitting me and I get it from so many of the Tories. I think Rishi is OK though. I particularly dislike the military nobs. |
