I see that the First Minister has cordially invited all those living in Gaza a home in Scotland, including priority in Scottish hospitals, firstly this is not a devolved matter so he has no right to be so welcoming, secondly people in Scotland cannot see a doctor or receive medical treatment in a timely way at the moment, thirdly inviting up to one and a half million people into Scotland may affect the current social housing problems.
Is this a case of spontaneous generosity inspired by the plight of these people or an opportunist move to increase his Muslim vote in Scotland. What do our Scottish correspondents think of his largesse? Do you mind paying for this, because he won't receive yet more money from Westminster to fund his attention seeking nonsense.

It seems strange that Scotland, some thousands of miles away, should be welcoming but Egypt less than an inch away keeps its borders firmly closed to stop any Palestinian getting in. This makes no sense at all.

Both Saudi Arabia and Egypt refuse to admit Palestinians due to security concerns. Humza has no such concerns, which is rather worrying if you happen to live in Scotland.

He doesn't have the authority, but I'm sure Scotland will support it. They'll just racially abuse them and drive them south.

We can only assume the rest either did not know, did not care or did not want but will be ignored. If we are following polls, or indeed elections, as regards immigration we would not be in the position we are currently as has been indicated over the past 60 years, they were ignored as well despite being a discernible trend in public opinion.

Scotland do not have the powers to make any immigration decisions on their own. That's the end of the story for Hamza, all he says is just grandstanding.

This is nothing more than hot air and virtue signalling. As B-4 & blackiswhite have already pointed out, McYousaf has no power to invite Palestinians to the UK, and I'm pretty sure Sunak ain't that stupid.
