Tell me why you don't think so. Try understanding the law of physics BVL. The batteries contain more energy than they weigh. ABC physics for children.

States a lunatic who has shot down his own non arguement.....Why don't you do us the honour of remembering and ownining your own shit zany? According to you a few posts back your fuel consumption doubled whilst using an ICE to tow a caravan.....So which bullshit statement is it you wish for us to beleive?

Tell me why you don't think so. Try understanding the law of physics BVL. Physics has many laws.
Anyway, try this though experiment. Imagine if the caravan were another car. This would mean it would have a car-sized battery and it would do a car sort of range, and if the car were not connected to the caravan you would get the full range. So you have the same set-up but just using the car motor instead of them having separate motors.

Extending the range of an IC car by carrying more fuel is a reasonable, indeed almost certain, proposition. Extending the range of a BEV by adding another battery, far less so. It might be a net positive..perhaps a bit.
My guess is that the weight carried vs battery energy are set at a sweet spot that gives the most range and adding another battery may even reduce the range. Just a guess though

Try understanding the law of physics BVL. The batteries contain more energy than they weigh. ABC physics for children. Not so simple. Now both batteries have to carry another battery. A battery is significant fraction of the total weight. It is no certain prospect.

So increasing the weight of the caravan is going to give the EV longer range? - I don't think so.. Tell me why you don't think so. Because it is a balance between weight vs range. If adding a few batteries increased range without the impact of weight, then all EV's would have massive batteries with a 1000 miles of range. As it is around 200 miles seems to be the sweet spot. But feel free to tell all the car companies where they are going wrong.

But feel free to tell all the car companies where they are going wrong. There are many reasons cars don't have bigger batteries. Dyson tried it but he lost a billion quid I think it was. Most people don't do 200 miles so lugging a large battery around makes the whole thing less efficient, and it is expensive to buy the batteries in the first place, not to mention road handling and increasing the centre of gravity. Batteries are coming down in price now and caravans have a lot more space than cars. Still I think the eventual answer is to install fast chargers like Huawei are doing.

Oh dear....yet another blow for the electric lemon pilots.... Almost 1m homes on Economy 7 energy deals told to get a smart meter or lose cheap off-peak electricity Technology powering older Economy 7 and 10 meters is due to end soon Customers using off-peak power have to get a smart meter or lose cheap electric

Stop diverting Jonsky. You were too thick to know car batteries produce more power than they require to move just themselves. So extra ones in the trailer would take the car further. You shot from the hip again to boast to your mates, and once more hit your own foot.

Own your own shit FFS zany... Aw bless. OK so let's humour you. How the fuck are you going to transfer any meaningful current from your caravan to your EV? And BTW leisure batteries are not built to sustain power over a long duration so at best you would be able to use your heater or wipers..Like I have stated both you and BVS grasp of physics wouldn't cover the back of a postage stamp..

Caravans with a large bank of batteries installed is just ‘ let them eat cake’ idea . ICE vehicles do not need the extra expense in order to tow caravans .
