I've said its a plug in hybrid enough times for everyone to know. I've even stated its a Kia Sorrento plugin hybrid. And taken photos of its dashboard showing my MPG. Do you have any point to make here?

When I speak of my car I speak of what it does. I have stated several times that I hope the government change the rules on Plugin hybrid cars as having now owned one I am content that they represent a real cut in emissions. Mine averages 168 miles for every gallon of petrol I put in it. That is to say approximately 128 miles out of every 168 miles I travel is powered by electricity.

My gas boiler hears my whole house using a tiny amount of electricity. So gas boilers are the future 👍 You are trying to sell the idea of a high mileage per gallon of petrol when you are not using petrol as fuel . It’s dishonest .

Yes I remember how you struggled with that. All those sums! I mean using two different fuels at different prices, its so complicated for you. Still those it was addressed to understood, so nothing wasted.

I don't believe you have any credibility left in this matter so say what you will.

Then you you question my credibility? lol.

Either way, I am sure this post will be purged to protect the queen.

So gas boilers are the future 👍 You are trying to sell the idea of a high mileage per gallon of petrol when you are not using petrol as fuel . It’s dishonest . Even you must know how poor that comparison is. Your diesel doesn't do 168mpg zany. In fact it does less mpg than the equivalent Kia diesel that doesn't have hybrid technology - for the simple reason that the conventional car is much lighter. It may be cheaper to run than the straight diesel (if you charge it up before each journey and only do short journeys) and take advantage of a cheap off-peak electricity deal but it's deliberately misleading to say it's doing 168mpg, because it's not. It's doing about 35mpg. And you need to factor in that, while Octopus gives you cheap off-peak electricity, it charges more for electricity that's not off-peak. No free lunches. Your hybrid is basically a diesel car (which is decidedly NOT green) with a small battery that allows it to fool the WLTP test - and therefore ovoid Kia paying massive fines for producing cars that are inefficient and do poor mpg.
