How would you know ? You don’t own an EV . What a really stupid thing to say. That I can't know about anything unless I personal have one. I'm definitely bringing this one back to bite you on the bum. How could it be balanced it mentions none of the advantages and exaggerates the disadvantages. Same old bollox about range anxiety, battery life etc. Range of 200 plus miles means range anxiety is history. Battery life, even the video admits you might expect to lose 10% over 100,000 miles. So an EV with a 100k on the clock still getting 180 miles per charge. If he were at all balanced he would add that over that same period the owner would save about £15,000 in fuel costs. Double that if they charge at home. Click bait for idiots with fixed views. Come off it. You have been extolling the virtues of EVs when you couldn’t be bothered to buy one . That bites you in the bum every time you post about your cop out car. EVs are more expensive than ICE cars in the first place . He exaggerates nothing . He points out a balanced view of the negative side of EV ownership . Thats why idiots are triggered by it .

You have a bad habit, zany, of dismissing facts that you don't like - that don't fit your narrative. All of what that video says is true. The problem is that it's only the start of the problems with these cars. As far as I'm concerned the main problems with these cars are: - They're unsafe - They take too long to charge - and this problem can never be solved because there's a physical limitation of how fast batteries can be charged - The chargers are very expensive to build and will never be profitable to run for private providers so they won't provide them. Some are already being removed because they're not financially viable. These are what I'd call intractable problems in that they're simply inherent in the technology. You have a very bad habit of presenting one sided arguments and when the other side is added, accusing people of bias. All the things in the video are not true in the way they are put. For instance the video points out the savings on service and brakes, but implies that this will be overwhelmed by the cost of tyres. With no data to back that up. But you carry on and lap it up and pretend to yourself you are unbiased. It's a short video - you can't expect loads of data to back up each case. Any rational person knows that what's said is true though. The running costs of electric cars were always presented as being cheaper than ICE cars but they're not anymore - they're vastly higher. It's mainly because of huge depreciation and huge insurance (if you can get it) but tyres are a factor as well. One thing that the guy said was that you get 8 year guarantees on the batteries but that's a very naive statement. Some makers give long guarantees but they're usually restricted to the original owner and they're dependent on the battery having gone below 70% of original range. Best of luck claiming on that guarantee. I suspect no one will ever manage to get a replacement battery. It'll be like the Mercedes Mobilo rust guarantee - virtually no one's every managed to claim on it.

And only you could make the sentence'he points out a balanced view of the negative side' without realising how stupid a sentence it is.

Just two averages over the cars life.saving on brake replacement and servicing. Extra number of tyres. Nearly all battery guarantees allow for some deterioration around 25% over 10 years.the manufacturers do not expect many claims because that is ghe number they should not get to. And as I say, still getting 80% after 100,000 miles is bloody brilliant.

No . Going on about EVs and buying a hybrid makes you look a tit. It merely points out your cop out and inability to,put your money where your mouth is . Its a fine sentence . The video is about the negative side of EVs and he doesn’t overdo it. In fact he says at the end that EVs are developing . He even goes on to compare them with new technology such as early Computers and the almost yearly new breakthroughs. YouTube videos tend to be ‘ the 10 best “ or ‘ the 10 worst ‘ . Maybe you are too busy ‘ caring ‘ to notice .

Anyone who can read knows that you could have bought an EV but didn’t . No they don't. They know you are a liar. If you repeat the lie again I will report you. Just to mind everyone. A couple of years ago I wanted to buy a Kia EV6, but the waiting list was 14 months. So instead I bought a KIA Sorrento plugin hybrid. I'm very glad I did as its performance and MPG are amazing. So is its spec. Bentley is a liar A liar pants on fire type liar.

You chose a hybrid over a EV when all you needed to do is wait . Thsnks for confirming it. The MPG isn’t amazing because it runs on a second energy source . My gas boiler hardly uses any electricity.🙄

Sorry you feel left out.

Yep. We need to vote Labour. What difference do you think that is going to make? None, but then again I have never seen Zanygame win an argument.

And as I say, still getting 80% after 100,000 miles is bloody brilliant. Like I said you're naive. I remember when my 4 year old Merc SL350 was going rusty here and there so I took it to the Merc dealer to get it put right - after all Mercedes guarantee their cars against rust for 20 years. The Merc dealer got out the full terms of the "Mobilo warranty" and I realised that there were so many conditions attached that no one would ever be able to claim on it. I said this to the dealer and he said that he wasn't aware of anyone ever claiming successfully. He said the best I could hope for is a "goodwill" payment towards the repairs, but it was highly unlikely that Merc would even offer this. If someone takes their 8 year old BEV to the dealer after the range had gone down below whatever figure they guarantee he'll be presented with a vast list of conditions (like being serviced on time at a main dealer, never crashed - or repaired at a main dealer if it has been etc etc). And in the unlikely event that he satisfies all the requirements they'll take it away and "test" it and say the battery's OK. And you won't be able to a thing about it. These guarantees are designed to never be claimed on - they're just there to make you buy the car.
