Their problem highlights the problems of EV versus ICE. It highlights how range anxiety is real . A 200 mile journey in an EV with a 100 mile range , owning an EV without home charging etc These are real problems that do not exist with ICE cars. I don’t know about your neck of the woods but I dont see an infrastructure being rolled out to accommodate EVs after ICE cars are banned . Yes that was another trick the video makers played. Pick a car with a very poor EV range. Most EV's are now between 250 and 300 miles per charge. This guy had to stop 8 times. Its called clickbait. Which is the range of the Porsche he used - you would know this if had watched the video instead of commenting from a position of ignorance. What you have to remember with EV's is that you are advised not to charge the battery above 80% or let it fall below 20% - hence the amount of times you need to stop.

The MG ZS ev is £29,000 and has a range of up to 270miles if you charge 'long journey'. Standard charge gives an average of 190 miles. But my point remains that very few journeys are in excess of 150 miles a day. The average return journey is 16 miles. Which pretty much supports my point . A £500 shit box will do ‘ up to’ and beyond 400 miles per tank and takes 5 minutes to fill anywhere in the UK. You don’t even need a home charger . Enjoy your £500 shit box with its 5.5k annual fuel bill Oh no wait. As you do the usual 400 miles a day that all petrol heads claim they must do. Your bill is £35k a year.

I did watch it did you. 8 stops to do 800 miles. Either a shit range or a liar.

Enjoy your £500 shit box with its 5.5k annual fuel bill Enjoy your 29 grands worth of range therapy . Range anxiety is so last year. As my friends say you don't get range anxiety when your distance to empty never gets below 80 miles and your car fills up every night. I have a plugin hybrid, best of both worlds. 167mpg never runs out of juice.

As Marie said .”.let them eat cake .” Pity you didn’t have the courage of your convictions and buy a real EV

A Kia EV6 But there was a 14 month waiting list at the time, so I went for what was available.

You went for a vehicle that was more convenient and used petrol as an energy source when it suited you . Just as others would buy a car that was convenient, cheaper and used petrol/ diesel as an energy source that suited them .

Better than you with your £500 shit bucket pumping out noxious gasses by the ton.

In the real world a shit box is the staring point for a far better option . £10000 supermini that will lasting 70000 miles at least . Has many cheap options for service and repair . Instead of a needlessly exornsive future money pit when the warranty runs out .

As for first cars. That has always been the case.

I don't believe a word of it. Could I possibly care less. Evidently untrue.
