This is surely a huge blow for Rishi Sunak and the Conservatives, indeed this is unprecidented.
The former Bank Of England Governer said this "Rachel Reeves is a serious economist.
She began her career at the Bank of England, so she understands the big picture.
But crucially, she understands the economics of work, of place and family.
And, look, it is beyond time we put her energy and ideas into action"
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rachel Reeves is an economist, she has degrees in Economics, she went on to work for the internationally renowned London School Of Economics before working for the Bank Of England.

Historically that has been a bad thing.. Yes, if history repeats itself, we ask these so called 'experts' just like the COVID experts, what's their professional solution and suggestions ..... then we do the total opposite, Economists and COVID CMO like Chris Whitty ...... says it all.

This is the same former Governor that claimed Brexit would drive out trade in the financial sector, cause recession and increase unemployment. None of this happened in the same way that Rachael Reeves would not be a competent Chancellor. Mark Carney, Anna Soubry and Steve Bray have all had their say, now we must move on.

I don't think that those three commentators have been excluded from debate, far from it, my point is that now they have been proved wrong and are discredited, it is time to look to the future, and it is only reasonable to think that they will be wrong about that as well.
Can you give me one example of anything that Mark Carney predicted that turned out to be a fact? This is the chap that printed money and fueled inflation, loudly and wrongly talked down the UK and broke the rules about his required impartiality. He is a socialist.

So what the Tory supporters on these boards are saying is -- Dont trust the word of a former Bank of England governor who was appointed by a Conservative government.

So you want to exclude some people from debate? I'm sure that all Canadians have a view - but should we listen?. Should the US listen when some people in the UK say that Biden is better than Trump (even with Bidens dementia)? Surely the only peoples opinions that matter are those in the UK who will be affected by the result of the election?

The government in 2013 was a Conservaitive led, Conservative dominated coalition government / 306 Conservative MPs - 57 Lib Dem MPs.
However the Governor was appointed by a Conservative Minister, probably after running it past the Conservative Prime Minister.

But I did know that - never the less Mark Carney WAS appointed by a Conservative Chancellor under a Conservative Prime Minister. But now Mark Carney is suggesting to the British public that ( in his opinion ) Rachel Reeves is a very clever person, a very good economist, and should be given the chance to run the countrys finances. Must be embarresing for the Tories
