LOL - more culture wars from Labour... So what would a "Racial Equality Act" entail? What would count as "structural racial inequalities"? Will there be an enforcement mechanism? If so, what would such an enforcement mechanism look like? What consequences would one face were they found to be practicing "structural racial inequality"? Would such "structural racial inequality" include the white working class? If not, why not? - and why, just a year from the next election, don't Labour have any answers to these questions? I can only assume that Labour really don't want to win the next GE. Labours political strategy ( and maturity) has never developed beyond the college bar .

This is true. It's like a sixth form polemic society.
And then they wonder why they can't win elections in the real world.

It is sadly an indisputable fact that contributions to history by black and Asian people were largely either ignored, or forgotten, they were seen as been not worthy of praise or record. The most classic example of this is The Largest Volunteer Army of The Second World War, who numbered 2.5 million men, and who fought in Burma, India, Malaya ( Malaysia ), Singapore, The Middle East, North Africa and Europe. A total of 20 VC's alone were awarded to Indian soldiers during World War Two, and senior British generals stated at the time, and since, that we could not have won the war without the Indian Army. "After the end of the Second World War, most Britons simply forgot about the contribution made by the Indian Army" www.youtube.com/watch?v=6TU1dQK-j-4&t=31s The Forgotten Volunteers “In the UK, October marks the beginning of Black History Month. This national celebration aims to promote and celebrate the contributions of those with African and Caribbean heritage to British society and to foster an understanding of Black history in general.” www.cultureamp.com/blog/uk-black-history-month#:~:text=In%20the%20UK%2C%20October%20marks,of%20Black%20history%20in%20general. Apparently it’s about African and Caribbean blacks , not Indians . It’s cos they ain’t black, innit. Astonishing that you miss the point I am making spectacularly (quote) "It is sadly an indisputable fact that contributions to history by BLACK and Asian people were largely either ignored, or forgotten, they were seen as been not worthy of praise or record" Another example would be Paul Stephenson and Ray Hackett ( you have never heard of them - right ? ), these were men of Caribbean origin who organised and supported the Bristol Bus Boycott of 1963. The Bristol Bus Company refused to employ either Asian or black people, it was open discrimination, which of course as we all know was widespread in this country before the Race Discrimination Acts were brought into law. A boycott of the bus company eventually forced the company to back down, and what happened in Bristol was instrumental in the creation of The Race Relations Act which came into law two years later. In the 2009 New Year Honours, Stephenson was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE), for his part in organising the bus boycott ("for services to Equal Opportunities and to Community Relations in Bristol.") whilst Hackett was also awarded an OBE. Its a shame really that Britain was such an openly racist country, hence the reason we have Black History Month, but of course some people dont like it.

Let's just say we bought in to this crap, and I sat down and said 'right so tell me about it', what it is they are going to enlighten me about black people?
If that's the case why can't I sit down to a 'Asian, American, Arabian, Chinese month' why do Black people feel so special, to be the superior species on Earth?

I think that I can say without contradiction that Europeans ( including ones that moved out of Europe) have been the most innovative group by far over the last 200 years . We should have a white history month and a parade every year . Undoubtedly true. And yes I absolutely agree, we should have a parade, a special day to celebrate our brilliant Victorian engineers and innovators.

For which we should be grateful. All included and no one left out. Who said we wasn't. What the hell have these illgals ever done for our country apart from live off the fat of the land? You're shooting at entirely different goalposts.

Just as long as you realize that your post was nonsense. Yes, imagine me thinking that white British people would be 'free' to celebrate our own white British culture and heritage, without being accused of being 'racists'.
They are, we are, and no one can stop us, so what's your beef?

Black people helped to defend us against the Nazis, and many helped to rebuild our economy and our infrastructure after the war. I believe about a million black people faught in WW2, in the US armed forces. And yes, to a much lesser extent black people were also in the British armed forces during WW2. After the war people from the Caribbean, the so called Windrush generation, came to this country of their own volition because we needed labour and they lived in poverty and wanted to improve their lot, which most of them did. I fail to see why that justifies a 'black history month'. For the vast majority of us remembrance is one day a year. And lets not forget 2½ million Indians from the British Raj who made a far greater contribution during WW2, yet we don't have an Indian history month shoved down our throats every year. Perhaps you think we should. Apart from the good that Black people have directly done for this country, the UK still owes Black people some respect for the horrors of the slave trade that we were involved up to our necks in.

in fact any English/British establishment are accused of being racists and slave traders, which would make it most of our British Empire.

What do white people who have never enslaved black people owe to black people who are not enslaved ?
