Imagine making a film about Nelson Mandela or Martin Luther, with a white man playing the part, we'd never hear the last of it from the lefty woke snowflakes, the producers, directors and anyone involved they would be demanding they never work again, it's a insult, it's racist .... blah blah blah Yet no outrage when a black person replaces a white person, it's fine ... It’s not my view it’s a fact . You have not only failed to produce a convincing case, you have not provided any case . Surely saying "I see no reason" is a statement of fact is simply not factually correct, it's a statement of opinion? I have not set out a case because I haven't advocated for it, I've said I see no reason why people who know a lot better about the subject than me shouldn't include it on their curriculum. I’m still waiting for a convincing case for black history month from you . What do the people who about the subject than you know what you don’t know ?

Sensible people.ie people who are not silly enough to believe a black history month is warranted yet unable to make a case for it . So people who agree with you? No. Try again…Sensible people.ie people who are not silly enough to believe a black history month is warranted yet unable to make a case for it

Maybe we could have a whole day of the month studying how black people sold other blacks on both sides of Africa. I'm all for a warts and all study of all history, it's the only way AFAIC. Here is one for you to ponder. Maybe we should have A white history month.

Well it's not like white historical figures and their contribution to our history isn't taught on the other 11 months of the year is it?

Well according to the department of education: "October is Black History Month in the UK and a time to celebrate the contribution Black communities and individuals have made over the centuries in shaping the dynamic and diverse country we have today. It is also about raising awareness of the contribution Black people have made to our freedoms, culture and society. From Roman times onwards, Black people have been an integral part of Britain, and the National Curriculum supports teaching about their contribution. One of the key aims of the history curriculum is to know and understand the history of these islands as a coherent, chronological narrative, from the earliest times to the present day. This includes how people’s lives have shaped this nation and how Britain has influenced and been influenced by the wider world, which helps build an understanding of a shared British history." Seems fair enough to me.

Is that not your view though? You still seem unable to understand the post you just read . But if it is indeed your view it would be fair to say that you were referring to people who agree with you wouldn't it?

Shocking news today. A new survey has revealed that more than half of British adults cannot name any black historical figures and only 7% can name more than four. The survey was conducted by YouGov for Bloomsbury Publishing.
Shouldn't something be done about this?
Yes, we should have something like a set amount of time where the history of blacks and their contribution to society could be highlighted for those interested enough to learn about them. We could give it a snappy name like non-Caucasian history lunar cycle. Is there a source you could point to where an outline of the black contribution to society you refer to could be perused by those who aren't sure?

A Mighty Heart starring Angelina Jolie is more recent. "The announcement of the casting of Angelina Jolie in the role of Mariane Pearl drew criticism within the African-American community.[22] Orville Lloyd Douglas, a pop critic, has criticized the casting[23] because, he said, "Jolie is white" and Mariane Pearl is "mixed race"; Pearl is the multiracial daughter of an Afro-Chinese-Cuban mother and a Dutch Jewish father." en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Mighty_Heart_(film)

What contributions have black people made to our FREEDOMS , culture and society ? How have black people been an integral part of Britain since Roman times ? You haven’t posted what people who know about the subject know what you don’t know ,at all. You have posted a series of unsupported claims .
