Is that counting the savings made by insulation or the revenue for selling our products on or the cheaper bills...............? well most people already have insulation and who has cheaper bills? Are you saying that you believe that well insulated homes do not reduce bills?

R&D is great but production realities at the moment, the technology is not yet there.
Basing political strategy on hopes and aspirations is not good enough.
Infrastructure needs building.
EU policy had us divest from coal before replacement was online.

What EU policies do you not want to diverge from and why? the question isnt what we plebs dont want to diverge from vincent , but what sir keir means by not diverging?
Could this be sir keir finally growing his spine and positioning himself for victory and setting the stall out for tieing the uk into the EU under some BRINO?

Are you saying that you believe that well insulated homes do not reduce bills? No - can't you read? Yes I can but you understanding is poor. People who have good insulation pay less on their fuel bells, if all homes were insulated properly their bills would come down. "According to a recent study by the Resolution Foundation, around 20% of UK homes have no roof insulation and forty percent have walls that are rated as poor or very poor for insulation. The UK has some of the oldest and leakiest housing stock in western Europe, ensuring that heat dissipates through walls, windows, and doors quickly after leaving radiators. In 2020, only 49% of dwellings had cavity or solid wall insulation, with loft insulation found in just over 39% of housing. However, there has been a significant increase in loft insulation usage, having risen from 21.1 percent of dwellings in 2008 to 39 percent of dwellings in 2021. Hardly most.

I am unaware of anyone who owns a house that has no insulation. Sometimes they have a type of build that prevents a certain type of insulation but pretty much everyone already has what is financially viable to fit.

What EU policies do you not want to diverge from and why? And without infrastructure including lots of nuclear power stations, fuel synthesis / algal biofuels, Net Zero will be missed anyway. Every new electric car produces as much CO2 during construction as keeping an old car on the road for fifty thousand miles. Don't take my word for it, Google it. I learned this whilst listening to Radio 4. Oh and there isn't enough capacity in the grid for everyone to have electric cars anyway. The construction process is being refined all the time, that's what happens with new technology.Infrastructure is something that can be improved by proper investment, the good outweighs the bad. I don't see you supporting Bio fuels like pellets made from wood and grass. Why is that rr or is it to much for you to bare?

Statistics mean nothing to you if they do not support what you say? How many people do you know? 1m, 2m.........

Do you know the cost involved in insulating solid walls rr? It would be cheaper to demolish the dwelling and rebuild. But where would the occupants reside while this is being done as many of the new builds and hotels are full of blairs unwelcome guests. Maybe we should give them a sheet of cardboard and a shop doorway as a dwelling whilst their homes are being revamped. And just wait until your beloved labour ever infests no 10 the problem will will get EVEN worse.

It's no good saying that we can insulate solid stone walls if the costs are out of reach to the average person - you have to live in reality.

"The Great British Insulation Scheme is a new government scheme to help people insulate their homes, make them more energy efficient and save money on their energy bills. The scheme will launch this summer and run until March 2026". Obviously some people disagree with you.
