No but we could make them go on healty diet and do more physical exercise. And no that doesn't mean to prance around like demented twats. I am sure the police force have gym instructors to help keep them in shape. And what about doctors and nurses? Does their weight interfere with what they are employed to do? My partner is a nurse and on her smart watch it clearly shows she walks over 20 miles per day per shift. And no she isn't overweight she knows how to remain fit and healthy. Are all people that dance 'demented twats' or are you just picking on the police. Do you not think that the police force has the facilities you speak of? We have always had police officers that are a 'bit' overweight, why is it an issue now? In the day to become a police officer you had to be a certain height, a certain weight, no tattoos, no criminal records including any of your close relatives.
Look at the police force today, we have short arse overweight tattooed criminals and their associated families working as police officers, is it any wonder, we can't tell the criminals from the police.

Marvellous, wonderful to see our tax payers money put to good use, watching overweight scruffy plod doing their dancing routine. Policing should be and used to be about prevention of crime, detectives investigate crime. What better way to prevent crime is there than to join in and help create a pleasant atmosphere. It was indeed taxpayers money being put to good use. The main principles of Policing is to Protect Life and Property , all Police Officers uniformed are taught to investigate crimes and protect crime scenes as they are usually the first ones to respond to crimes accidents etc, those who join the C.I.D Investigate more serious crimes and trained more and learn more with service. No matter what large gatherings Celebrations, Protests, Sports Fixtures etc Uniformed Officers will be deployed to Protect those taking part and the general public at large, yes on such a day as the one being discussed and others part of their job is to mingle with crown interact with them smile , but they must keep an good eye on what is happening around them the mood of the crowd. Also keep in mind gatherings also attract some undesirables, pickpockets and bag snatchers love crowds , so do sexual perverts that hide in the crowds, Police dancing is taking their eye off the ball . As for overweight Police Officers as already stated they are not fit enough to chase and catch anyone liable to have a heart attack trying to do so, however Obesity an ever increasing problem right across the general public from youngsters to older people it is a serious health problem that the NHS is struggling to deal with and the costs of doing so is enormous |

They should, obviously, be helped to trim down and if that is not possible given a job that will exclude him from having to run. I would like to think that a bus company employee that goes blind during their service would be accommodated elsewhere within the company and if not they would be able to claim invalidity benefits and a pension. Comparing a bus company 'employing' a blind person and a police officer that gains weight over time is just plain stupid. Well for starters they should all be given pushbikes, I've lost count of how many police visibly sit in their patrol cars scoffing their faces, you never see a copper walking the streets, they are patrol cars or vans.
What's up with supplying them with pushbikes and if they don't want to do that then give them desk jobs, part of being a police officer is patrolling the streets 'on foot' or pushbike, actually visibly seeing police officers might deter some form of crimes.
I agree with the pushbikes for constables on the beat. See if Braverman will fund it. |

every Net Zero policy costs more money than the one it replaces. Are there no costs to digging coal out of the ground? We need to invest in green energy to become self reliant, something the right keeps banging on about. Investing in green energy will not raise prices in the shops, gas and oil have already done that. Insulating the country will save massive amounts of energy and lower heating costs. This country is an island and we have some of the most powerful tides in Europe, wave power is free. |
