But it worked. It would be even better here because we are an Island. Worked OMG It wasn't even built and it certainly didn't stop illegal migrants. The whole Island thing was spoilt when they invented the boat. Oh so what are the woke left now pulling down in the USA Scotch mist?

Britain is not Australia. Different coast line, different populated areas, different distances to other countries. Another person who hasn't heard about the invention of the boat. And you're suggesting they let them drown?

See what I mean. They're all about the prevention of solutions, which makes them part of the problem.

And how much did Trump actually build in his 4 years in office. Wasn't it his top priority? And weren't the Mexicans going to pay for it. Lol.

We would be paying our for our own and have change in our coffers if we have had all the money to use on it that has been pissed against the wall in trying to prevent this invasion.

I'm reminded of the bogus English lessons broadcast on the phoney German radio station Soldatensender Calais in the summer of 1940, when England was facing a seaborne invasion of a different kind:
"We English, as you know, are notoriously bad at languages," said I, talking my most impeccable German, "and so it will be best, meine Herren Engellandfahrer,* if you learn a few useful English phrases before visiting us. " For your first lesson we will take: Die Kanaluberfahrt . . . the Channel crossing, the Chan-nel cros-sing." " Now just repeat after me: Das Boot sinkt . . . the boat is sinking, the boat is sin-king." " Das Wasser ist kalt ... the water is cold. Sehr kalt ... very cold." " Now, I will give you a verb that should come in useful. Again please repeat after me
: " Ich brenne....... I burn
" Du brennst....... you burn
" Er brennt........... he burns
" Wir brennen..... we burn
"Ihr brennt............you are burning
"Yes, meine Herren, in English, a rather practical language, we use the same word `you' for both the singular and the plural:
"Ihr brennt . . . you are burning " Sie brennen . . . they burn"
And if I may be allowed to suggest a phrase: Der SS Sturmfiihrer brennt auch ganz schon ... The SS Captain is also burning quite nicely, the SS Captain is al-so bur-ning quite nice-ly!"
Crude stuff, but excellent in one important respect. The line about burning in the Channel fitted in perfectly, as of course it was intended to, with the information which our deception services had planted on Admiral Canaris, the head of Hitler's espionage. Our rumour agencies too, had been busy spreading it everywhere. The mean murderous British, it said, had apparatus in readiness with which they were going to set the Channel and the beaches on fire such time as Hitler launched his boats."
Zany would no doubt be dead set against such deceptions in the present day, not being cricket as it were.

No different to wartime measures to accommodate the several million men called up to military service, and retained during the national service era.
I spent most of my childhood in such places, RAF Bridgnorth being one in particular that comes to mind. There are dozens if not hundreds of such places where the basic infrastructure is still largely intact and where the land is still available for Bridgnorth-style wooden huts. Nearly two million servicemen and women passed through Bridgnorth between 1939 and 1965. If it was good enough for our fathers and grandfathers why is it not good enough for asylum seekers?
BIG differences. 1, You could leave anytime to another safe place. 2, It was not a life sentence. It's a lot better than many UK citizens endure. They wouldn't be free to enter the UK generally, but they would be free to leave when the opportunity arises. If the facilities were placed on an island, that would be better still. It seems to me the base problem here is you wont wont accept any solution that doesn't involve unidentified people being forced on to the UK public. Honestly, It's almost as if dismissing the rights of the UK public and showing them they have no option is the whole point for you.

Another person who hasn't heard about the invention of the boat. How do you think they attempted to get into Australia? Perhaps they rented a 747? they are not drowning

BIG differences. 1, You could leave anytime to another safe place. 2, It was not a life sentence. Well my answer to that is shame on us with our massive wealth gap. Nice dodge. They could stay locked up or return to the place they fled. By which you mean I wont accept your solution of life imprisonment. I have offered my solution. Your solution would be acceptable if there was an end point. A point at which someone was offered asylum or expelled. An idea popped into my head. Could the law be changed so that those who refuse to help the authorities identify them or hide their identities lose the right to refugee status?

Well my answer to that is shame on us with our massive wealth gap. That's not an answer. That's you using an excuse to abuse the UK public. What is at odds here is not the existence of poverty (which has been true everywhere everywhen), but your insistence that these people must be provided with more or it's inhumane. Clearly that's crap. It's a manufactured demand - ie one you place deliberately to force something else. Nice dodge. They could stay locked up or return to the place they fled. Or go anywhere else that wants them. By which you mean I wont accept your solution of life imprisonment. It's not life imprisonment, it's a condition of sanctuary / stay - similar to a rape crisis centre. You insist on unconditional entry because you want to abuse and humiliate the UK public. (this became obvious when you raised wi-fi as a human rights issue) Could the law be changed so that those who refuse to help the authorities identify them or hide their identities lose the right to refugee status? Sure. However, we will still get the same unmanageable numbers of fraudsters because you insist they must have a right to enter and stay in the UK.

I'm sure you could protect our 19,000 miles of coast. Dads army With what the UK has shelled out on this illegal invasion would have built a 20 foot high fence all around the UK using razor wire comeplete with landmines. Why not outline a reasonable legal way of dealing with the problem?

Its a good job then, that the "lunatic left" will never gain power or even look like gaining power in this country. I guess that probably makes your post and the post you replied to as nothing more than scare mongering. Perhaps they will not gain power but those in power are pandering to their wishes in far too many areas and polices that are supposedly 'far right' are jettisoned. While some of the 'unacceptable' things for the far right, are unacceptable because of their ignorance and intolerance. Traits that could spread themselves into unacceptable intolerances in many different ways, such is the danger of the 'far right'.
