We can live with weakness, as we do all the time, the critical factors are much depends on what one is weak on. Weakness like 4million unemployed? like closing down thousands of engineering jobs and their connected jobs and replacing them with Japanese engineered cars? Like increasing the number of children (and their families) living in relative poverty to 3million? Like selling off the "family Silver" and privatising our North Sea Oil in order to pay for her failed economic fixed opinion ideology? She did her best to turn the UK economy into a Corner Shop economy. No she did her best to bring the UK economy round from its at the time disaster area. I do not necessarily agree with all she did but the previous 15 years had sown the seeds of disaster including Heath's U turn on prices and incomes.

I have some agreement but there is a bloody big BUT in there. Things were bad when Thatcher arrived, so bad that she had free rein to make whatever changes she liked, and she did. There was no doubt that changes needed to be made. The situation was termed a "Water Shed Opportunity". Very few Prime ministers ever get such an open door for change. Problem is that she was an ideologically driven Right-Winger. To put things into perspective, try imagining that it was a Left-Wing ideologically driven PM with the same Water Shed opportunity to make the changes. At the end of her period in office she had done more harm than good.

It has been declared that today the world population passed the 8bn mark.
Obviously that is symbolism. There's no way of knowing the accurate world population. Probably it is even higher than the official figures. Too much though. You don't even have to be very old to remember the world population to be half of what it is today.

"In case of he SNP. Pointing out your racist drivel..... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz"
Ay caramba! It works, no more jaydee. Praise the Lord! Seig Heil. Yep racism works no more. But then. To understand what makes racism, racism, You have to understand what racism is in the first place. As you praise your lord, I will let your ilk worry about your lord. As they sing Jesus Loves me. As they kick the shit out of immigrants as they leave the church. Do you wear a white bed sheet over your nut with slits in the eye as well. By the way does your white supremacy include blonde hair and blue eyes.

Then perhaps he will take a lesson from Robert the Bruce who was also a seven times loser. Elucidate. Bruce was a giant amongst Kings and Scotland was the first nation state in Europe to have a territorial unit under one King. On the 24th June 1314 on the fields of Bannockburn on the outskirts of Stirling, the most most famous battle in Scottish history unfolded. The armies of Bruce heavily outnumbered by the English faced one another. It would in present day terms be like the British Army taking on the might of the United States Army. The army of Bruce using tactics which prevented the English from using their superior power, destroyed the English once and for all, and forced them to flee. The defeat for the English was complete. They were forced to sue for peace., and a treaty was signed in Northampton by Edward II declaring that Scotland was a independent nation and that Bruce was the King.. In 1320 the Declaration of Arbroath. was a open letter sent to the Pope. The Pope had excommunicated Bruce and Scotland because the Church of Rome saw Edward II as the true King of Scotland. It is one of the most important documents of Scottish history. For your info. The reason Bruce was excommunicated On 10 February 1306 Bruce and John Comyn, Lord of Badenoch, met at Greyfriars Kirk in Dumfries. There was no love lost between them. Bruce had called the meeting and the two left their swords outside as they entered the church. A fight broke out before the high altar and Bruce stabbed Comyn to death. When he came outside Bruce told his cousin, I think I have killed Coymn. His cousin replied. You think. I will go and make sure. www.britannica.com/topic/Treaty-of-Northampton

I think in terms of being a giant then yes but he also was not above murder to progress his cause and once he obtained power he was all over the place as opposed to ruling Scotland. As regards the murder then it was the time honoured phrase from his cousin 'mak siccar'.

In my Scottish history Bruce watched the spider try 7 times to reach its goal and on the eighth it succeeded and Bruce took a lesson from a spider as regards perseverance if you believe your cause is just. I think in terms of being a giant then yes but he also was not above murder to progress his cause and once he obtained power he was all over the place as opposed to ruling Scotland. As regards the murder then it was the time honoured phrase from his cousin 'mak siccar'. In my Scottish history that is exactly correct and every Scottish school kid is well versed on Bruce and the spider. Which means matey if at first you do not succeed. Try and try again. How you translate that to a 7 times loser is beyond my ken. In terms of murder you could start with Edward 1st. His gang of cut throats as they rampaged through Scotland murdering woman and kids. Till they were finally stopped by Bruce, and of course William Wallace. Who was brutally murdered. And since then the trust between Scotland England has never, and never will recover. In terms of murder Bruce was a religious man. But that is what Kings did in those days or they would not be kings very long. And how do you work out Bruce was all over the place is beyond me . You sound like a apologist for the murderous Edward 1. Before he died Bruce requested that his heart be removed and carried in battle against Gods foes. In short the crusades. Then buried in Melrose Abbey. This task was allocated to Sir James Douglas, known as Black Douglas, who was one of Bruce's most loyal friends. He carried the preserved heart in a silver casket around his neck. He was a very violent man who you just did not argue with. Or you were dead. Douglas was killed at the battle of Teba, Spain in August 1330. It is thought that the casket containing the heart of Bruce was recovered by Sir William Keith who returned it to Scotland and buried it in Melrose Abbey. In 1920 the heart was discovered and reburied but the position was not marked. I found that deeply offensive and shocking. For a hero and true patriot of his stature his heart should have been reburied with full military honours and in a manner fitting of a real King. Not the fanny's we have today. In 1996 a casket was discovered during work in Melrose Abbey. It was carbon dated from the time of Bruce and reburied again. This time marked. The body of Bruce is buried in Dunfermline Abbey. I have no idea what you are on about. www.englishmonarchs.co.uk/bruce_12.html
