It is a strange situation . The two party stitch up rears its ugly head again , where protest at the tories ineptitude results in labour falling into place.
Labour do indeed at the moment look set to sweep aside the tories , but starmer doesnt appear to be a popular labour leader or potential prime minister.
Interesting to watch this develop up to the next election.

Sir Stodge is without doubt a dreary lump, but elections are usually lost by the government rather than won by the opposition.
The pro Brexit Reform party appear to be nibbling at the Tory vote, so Silly Sunak has appointed a Remainer as Chancellor. Some things you can't make up

Well as a Labour supporter you must surely be acutely aware that people make all sorts of promises to get elected but fail to deliver when in power.. I'm not a Labour supporter? 🤷 of course not.

I'm not a Labour supporter? 🤷 of course not. Telling me who I support? You should know better than that. I'm a floating voter, I don't align to any particular party. This year I voted Green (and won in my ward in an upset over). I've delivered leaflets for the Greens before too. I'm probably more naturally a LibDem. In the general election I would vote tactically, and for my constituency (Cov NW) that does mean voting Labour.

When you go to a football match do you want the side you support to win?

If there hasn't been a true Conservative government since Thatcher then you could equally say there hasn't been a true Labour government since Callaghan. The only time there was a Labour govt at all they changed their name to New Labour and adopted many of Thatcher's economic policies. Perhaps that demonstrates the British public don't vote for the extremes of politics left or right anymore and are becoming more and more centrist. I welcome this.

Im looking forward to starmer taking up power in number ten , its going to be fucking hilarious.
